I’m not saying I got them from rank up packages, but considering I didn’t play enough in the relevant seasons to get any of the mods that are sought after now, and I never visit gunsmith to buy mods...I must’ve gotten them somewhere.
You could be right, I could have bought them from him but that’s not something I’d normally do and definitely not something I remember doing.

Honestly I’m not sure, I didn’t play much in the months preceding Beyond Light. I played a lot during Season of Dawn and have nearly the suite suite of charged with light mods but barely played season of the worthy so have very few Warmind cell mods. I do also feel as though they may have had another source in the months after there respective releases as I have no recollection of earning any Cell mods when they were actually released. In saying that though, they’ve become integral parts of the pve experience these days. Far more so than they ever were before Beyond Light. And not being able to actively seek them out is just such a waste of a well thought out and implemented system that clearly took a lot of thought and effort from Bungie. I can also say that my enjoyment and engagement of the game rose considerably once I started utilising those systems fully and creating builds around them. I can understand the frustration from players unable to do so.

Whichever playstyle mods a player uses in their build though, there’s a substantial and demonstrable difference in their performance over a player without these mods. That’s why I think it’s shitty that they’re gated behind one single vendor offering just 2 mods per day out of a massive mod pool. I, I don’t want them to be easy to get. That’s not what I’m saying at all. I just want a dedicated way to deliberately try to obtain them. Be it certain requirements to fulfill in specific activities or whatever.

To be honest, I haven’t really played around much with Warmind cells, but I’m always running 1 of 5 different CoL builds that I’ve put together. I don’t have good rolls of any seraph weapons that make me want to run them just to utilise Warmind cells. I like how CoL builds are based on weapon types rather than having to run 1 specific weapon.

Never been a fan of CwL mods. I now run Burning Cells, global reach and strength of rasputin. I have the Ikelos smg with seraph rounds on it. I like being able to clear a room quickly..really want rage of the warmind mod though.m for the additional solar dmg.

I guess I prefer CwL because they provide more passive and more general bonuses than Warmind Cells. More customisable to enhance my existing playstyle as opposed to adjusting my playstyle to incorporate Warmind Cells.

Yeah, you see Warmind Cell mods or even more problematic than CoL mods. At least with CoL mods, once you get it, you have it. With Warmind Cells there’s numerous other layers of RNG to actually make them worth using. Not only do you have to get lucky and Banshee sells them, you also have to get lucky to get Seraph weapon, and luckier still to get a seraph weapon with a roll worth using. That’s why I realky want Wrath of Rasputin so I can play around with the system until RNG gifts me with a decent smg.
