Players play for weapons they like regardless. FoMo exists because players recognize they like a weapon and don't wanna miss out on getting their roll.
They would've played for their roll when they had time on their own. Maybe you should ask players if they've ever felt the need to alter their schedule or be content with not having loot they like, and then ask again if that's something that makes sense, because it sure as sh*t doesn't to me.
There are weapons I see and I'm like damn I should have played that season. In now way am I like, bungie please make it so I can get that weapon by just going to a spot in the tower. Part of the game is loot that is there and then gone. I was honestly surprised the out all the pursuit weapons in that kiosk. Allot of players spent time grinding for a weapon some can now just buy with a cypher and a shard.
The kiosk idea is mainly to support players getting any onobtainable loot back should Bungie undo Sunsetting, as they should.
However it's also a fine move to kill off FoMo as well. Players should play when they'd like to play, not when Bungie is trying to coerce them into playing by making loot sources disappear.
I'm well over it all. Bungie just showed they have the ability to kill FoMo off completely by making this Exotic Kiosk for unobtainable Exotics, so why not Legendary loot?
