It’s one thing to sunset things, but how on earth is it viable to give that sunset gear as rewards in the current game? Sunset should mean SUNSET. If we can’t use them why are they still treated like rewards at all?

Didn't literally no one enjoy that? Didn't everyone hate when they did that and loved when they gave us ways to bring gear forward? Isn't easy to ask pretentious, willfully ignorant questions like you're some sort of dumbass trying to play smartass? Suck a fart out of Luke's dirt hole.

Yeah d1 sunsetted gear, but they did it properly. It worked really well. When they sunset the lootpool, they replaced the ENTIRE lootpool. When they got rid of a couple hundred items, they replaced every single one of those items with something new. Not this garbage where they got rid of half the game and replaced it with like 50 new items and reissued crap we've ready gotten. The old, useless gear also didn't drop through normal gameplay like it does now. Also the new loot was good enough to replace the old loot and wasn't a downgrade.

Yeah but they made better loot tho back then what we got now not even close to making me switch my weapons still rocking shit from season of dawn an last season even the gambit auto rifle an rocket launcher plus that gambit machine gun. 😅😅😅😅

Bungie only ever sunset gear twice in D1 and then like now was a huge backlash that followed. Bungie capped loot in TDB and in TTK after that they never did again because players kept rightfully giving them sh*t about it

There were, but they only brought back the fan favorites and they were in addition to the new stuff, not issued in place of the new stuff. Also, they came during a content drought instead of with the release if I remember correctly

Some were, and others were entirely reissued. That's what pissed me off the most about it tbh, because when that loot was retired and re-issued I'd only just got my LDR godroll, and and that void handcannon from Skolas with the roll I wanted. Good void burn primaries were tough to find in D1
