I can't speak to the rolls/archetypes as i've not looked myself. But for the broad question I feel like i'm satisfied with what we got. Seems to be a tad bigger than shadow keep. Considering Shadowkeep is the minimum i'd expect out of an expansion that seems fine. Though I don't know how much of this is because we have a brand new subclass.
Luke Smith admitted recently that they can't really make forsaken/TTK sized expansions anymore since the departure from activision. Which is a bummer but is fine for me. Destiny as a franchise became very clear to me as a game that isn't fun enough to play "just because." I've always been far more invested because of the lore/story side of things.
So I guess if you're someone who only cares about gameplay itself than I can see why less content (esp with sunsetting) stings. However it's just the reality we have since Bungie decided to go independent. I'm willing to work with what they feel they're capable of. It seems like they're mostly receptible to feedback as we see a continuing of them attempting to improve the game. And that's all I can really ask.
Back when Bungie announced Destiny and showed us concepts/teased us with their pitch my mind went flush with possibilities. It took awhile but I eventually learned to accept that what I personally want from the series isn't the same thing they want. This has helped me come to enjoy Destiny for what is is. And probably why I don't fret about things as much as most do here.

The supposed issue is that "Activision gave us the money to make a big expansion", yet Bungie now pulls in far more money than they ever have before in terms of gross income and especially net income.

Right cause I'm sure a random -blam!- like you has direct access to their financial records and expenditures to compare figures of before and after their split with Activision and are totally capable of calculating costs for their business. Never mind the fact that Bungie had help from at least two other studios pre Activision split which immensely helps to have more man power. And I'm sure being partnered with Activision afforded them benefits that they wouldn't have on their own such as specific resources or taking care of costs for things like servers. But sure. Whatever crock of shit you need to guzzle so your personal diluted perspective remains intact.

They called the game's genre all sort of things over the years. What they showed and what they have delivered didn't match either, therefore I'd say your high horse seems not that high 👍

I'm very well aware that they had internal problems. That really doesn't change my statement in the slightest. Especially since from a lore perspective they've pretty much gone back to the original stuff that was tossed out/rewritten with grimiore cards. Not sure what high horse you think I'm on but if you're that jaded with the game that you feel the need to attack someone who isn't as miffed as you about then nothing I say really matters

Not sure when stating facts become an attack

The only fact in your response to me was that Bungie had internal issues. You responded to a specific segment of my response with said statement and mentioned me being on a high horse. How else am I supposed to interpret that other than a dig at me. Maybe if you'd only mentioned the fact. But the high horse comment can only be taken as a dig. Of which I am calling you out on.

Plus I was replying to your dig at players who cares about other things than you. As I said though, take it as you will. We can't control what others think

I was not digging at anyone. I simply said I wasn't as upset as others are. This statement does not in anyway say their amount of upset is unwarranted nor does it attempt to state that there's no reason to be upset at all.
