I'm pretty sure nobody likes the vortex novabomb in pvp because its aoe is less than top trees and with how much greater our mobility is in destiny 2, it ends with inconsistencies because you can just avoid it.
I don't...think adding lance is going to fix what's wrong with it if that's all you do.
Shatter maybe, but who knows how that would work out because well...triple vortex might kill the games already fragile frame rate.
Scatter grenade are a piece of shit and I think just getting rid of them rather than wasting time trying to fix it would be a better idea.
Because lets face it, if bungie wanted that grenade to not blow, they would've fixed it by now.
Axion bolts, even if they were faster, would just be dodged by hunters and it would cause them to just fly off into nowhere.
It needs to like...re-target the nearest enemy or completely ignore the dodge effect in order for it to not completely suck.
Then give it like...maybe 10-15 more damage and slightly increase its travel speed because it's a travel time based projectile unlike the other two bolt grenades which are basically hitscan, if not already hitscan.
Vortex...is fine.
It starts up a little slow, but that aoe is deceptive and it hurts quite a bit.
I understand pulse is better than it but I think it's dangerous tuning those lingering grenades carelessly, especially when you can overcharge it.
Cataclysms overcharge grenade effect, personally, should not match pre-nerf hhsn charge time because that is incredibly fast for incredibly enhanced grenades and on something like vortex that creates a huge circle of pain, you would have people panic throwing it and trading like crazy.
Let's say it takes 2 seconds to charge, how about like 1.2-1.3 seconds instead, but not like 0.60 or whatever it was, because that's way too quick.
Blink...I don't think getting into blink is a good idea.
Get rid of the stupid disorient effect it gives the user, but don't change its hitbox or speed.
It can already kind of be annoying and the last thing I'd personally want is greater shotgun aping in the game.
Hhsn...I'd say revert the hold time on hhsn, not sure why they nerfed this when it was the wind up being too fast that was the problem.
That nerf to hold time just took away everything from it that it could have been left with.
Reduce the self damage by 50%, don't remove it...it should be kind of self explanatory why it should deal self damage, but how much it does is absolutely stupid.
The risk should be misusing it and having the chance to trade if used incorrectly, not just flat out die at full health.
Nova warp...honestly I'm not sure what to do for it besides reverts.
Get rid of the slow on charge, decrease the charge time slightly (like if it takes .70 to charge, make it .65).
Buffing the aoe charge time, to me, seems incredibly dangerous to do as it covers a wide area and backpedaling with it against other supers CAN be effective at times even in it's current state.
The light attack needs a fixed aoe that does flat damage with no fall off.
Lag screws the light attack big time, much like everything in this game, so giving it a fixed aoe that doesn't have damage fall off will make it more consistent and eliminate its chance to fail (every aoe attack should just...have a zone where they die to make up for lag).
I don't...really know what to do about its gap closing abilities.
I don't know if I covered everything you posted about...because it's a lot to read honestly, but I hope you understand I have good intentions.
I know the subclass struggles in pvp and it's mainly due to over nerfs or not being tuned at all.
Any subclass that hasn't gotten a true rework for our current capabilities is always going to fall behind the new nonsense of the reworked subclasses.
And if you gave more specific details somewhere, I just want you to know I probably didn't read it as well...look at the length of you post.
Hopefully I don't offend you for not reading it, but that's too much for me so I just tackled the things I could easily point out.
Exactly. In D1 you knew you were dead. D2 you can survive them.
Been saying they needed to fix it since D2 release, back to the one that worked back in D1. Still thinking it to this day.
