The issues with voidwalker are almost never ending. Each subclass suffers in many ways. As well as it's supers and neutral game. As warlocks are given exotics to make something medicore decent or viable.
(Blink) has its entire animation stretched as its actually not a teleport. Severley punishing blink users. Thing is blink needs an exotic to make it better or viable in most eyes. Astrocythe
(Axion bolts) if not charged up will literally follow people around like a friendly arc soul to your enemy. Still doesn't matter even if its charged up since hunters make up 3/4's of the crucible and dodge will negate all tracking. So its only gonna hit other warlocks or titans. The grenades need aggressive tracking like voidfang Vestments granted but without a charge required and no exotic needed. As well as hunters shouldn't be able to dodge it. Warlocks, and titans can't avoid tracking nades by doing absolutely nothing.
(Scatter nades) are plauged by a delayed bouncing mechanic that has been in game since destiny 1's early beta days. This grenade is still terrible when charged up through top tree's chaos accelerate as the damage and radius is in consistent and weak all around. They Should perform like nothing manacles and a charged up version is even deadlier. (Vortex grenades) people just walk in and out of. The only use is to either eat your grenade, charge it with hhsn or charge it up with chaos accelerant. Best options are eat your grenade and chaos accelerant. As hhsn is over nerfed.
(Attunement of chaos) has the least issues going for it. Which is surprising! When charging your nade with chaos accelerant no matter how long you hold it you will never re-gen super energy. https://youtu.be/WMlRSsUDIkk Chaos accelerant animation needs a speed up. Should be the same time as pre nerf hhsn. Last and foremost enemies shouldn't be able to pop nova bomb only you. Again chaos accelerant does nothing for Scatter grenades.
(Attunement of fission) is god awful now. The super hasn't recovered from the over nerf, hhsn over nerfed and atomic breach has a few issues. Atomic breach has a delay with its melee. No where in the description does it say it's delayed. Subreakers have the same melee knock back damage and everything yet the effects are applied instantly. It's impossible to trade on this melee. As you'll die before the detonation actually goes off. Most times the knock back is never applied. Hhsn range nerf is fine the charge up time and self damage is what hurts it. One bolt can damage me and ill die but one can hit my enemy and they survive!! The charge up time now prevents aggressive play with it as you can't even blink and go into using it let. You can't effectively close the distant to someone you can't catch up to while in nova warp. Nor can you in super with hhsn range nerf and charge up time ruined that. The return of all ability energy has been removed on activation of nova warp and end of it. Now the real kicker why people don't use the subclass anymore. We thought we were gonna get a good trade off for a better super and movement to the bring in line of hhsn. Wrong the damage resistance is terrible since you actually have to charge up before effectively damage someone. Nova warp struggles to combat other roaming supers you need to work 10 times harder to do so. Unlike Spectral aids, arc staff, sentinel, striker and top tree stormcaller. Its near impossible to catch up to a good player unless they make a mistake. You need to catch someone great good luck the moment you get into range you lose all momentum with a combination of not being able to instantly attack like you can with other romaing supers. You also move 3 centimeters and start falling towards the ground and movement come almost to an entire hault the moment you being to charge up. Yes you can use blink. Not everyone does and dark blink doesn't fix the charge up time it takes to detonate as again all the issues begin with charging up. Uncharged blasts are so inconsistent and you'll be essentially melted before you can successfully detonate a small blast. Aren't you lucky if they have a vorpal weapon. Nova warp is the only romaing super no one fears. As you can shut it down effortlessly by yourself since on top of all the listed issues damage resistance is a joke still.
(Attunement of hunger) is stuck in y1 of the primary meta. Vortex nova bomb will never be good unless it will be paired in combo to Lance. And most people won't even touch nova bomb since Lance and shatter are gone. As it needs aggressive play and needs to limit the escape odds the super allows. As its high risk almost never reward. As it also can damage the user. Never seen anyone kill themselves with blade barrage even when you made it possible to do so. Which is shatter bomb 2.0! When it lays where it lands it doesn't do damage on par to thunder crash or top tree striker. And the radius is poor a charged vortex nade from top tree nova bomb is deadlier then the super its self. Grenade kills need to proc devour on its own. As it seems that people are struggling to get it going so adding one more way to proc it wouldn't hurt it. Now feed the void and devour need to be combined into one perk. As there's two nodes that grant the same effect. Just different ways. Still can be proc'd through a melee kill or grenade consumption and still regen and restore health. Now insatiable needs to also grant increased melee speed, weapon speed and movement speed on top.of the grenade energy restore. For less punishing play on devour. Stays active as long as devour is refreshed on a kill. Voidwalker will need a new perk. The other issue i myself form time to time comes across is team shots, a kill you were hoping to secure would of kept you alive, or allow you to reset a gun fight. So I can see why it's hard for people to keep devour up. Devour health restore should also be instant there should no longer be a delay to it. As even if you win you'll die and lose your streak. Vs oem which is instant!
Last but not least there's hardly any exotics to aid in using voidwalker. Your options are nezerac sin, astrocythe, and possibly karnstien armlets. But melee exotics really only benefit top tree dawn.Then the two obvious other options are tsteps and ophidans. While the rest still don't aid in voidwalker usage. Where's the ram? Or neutral game exotics for the class in general.

1 返信I'm a Warlock main and I can't remember the last time I have seen a voidlock used or used one myself. The entire tree is with worst for Warlocks in PVP. To be honest there are only 2 of 9 subclasses that are good for Warlocks in PVP. Top tree dawn and storm. The rest are meh. Nova Warp has a few months in the sun and never recovered from the Great Nerf. HHSN is nothing more than a short range fusion rifle now.

6 通の返信Most warlock super abilities in PVP are garbage. Dawnblade projectiles that dont track, or they dont kill the target. Well of radiance..how many actually use this in PVP? Chaos Reach takes too long to kill someone (ive had people literally survive long enough to walk out of the reach and into cover) Stormcaller for the short range it has it takes a long time to kill someone Nova bomb is the only super you can kill yourself with Nova Warp..nerfed into the ground damn near unusable.

3 通の返信My original and first ever character was a void warlock. It's only nostalgia that keeps me playing as that tree now. Even comp the split super or tracking orbs are make or break. Those orbs track for days and the chance of an actual clutch team wipe with top tree is way higher. On low player count games the chances of changing kills with devour is a lot slimmer (not impossible!) But certainly not like kill clip and devour in 6 vs 6. I feel the warlock needs PvP love in general. It's exotics are all centered around d1 based stuff and the new tree got neutered in record time. It took two seasons to fix the Titans shoulder charging you or gaining full over shielding on a kill.

3 通の返信Voidwalker—-and warlocks in general—-were the victims of trying to make Crucible into a gun-game and an e-sport. Nova Warp was a very powerful pvp ability...and it got nerfed because of it. Which is what happens to all warlock abilities that are useful in pvp.

5 通の返信I think the biggest issue with Warlocks in general is how poor their exotics are. Most ‘lock exotics simply help a class get to where it should be rather than do anything interesting.

Warlocks are king in PVE, there is zero argument on that and Titans are bottom tier in PVE yet, in PVP Warlocks in the hands of an average everyday joe or mary or squirrel Warlocks are bottom tier it appears and Titans are top tier? Now, something tells me a top tier player can make all three classes sing like bird in the spring time with blue weapon loadouts, zero mods and etc. with any subclass between all three classes and still come out of a match as top performer, am I wrong here? What I do know is, we can't nor will Bungie EVER be able to balance ANY subclass and insert 'FUN' here, so long as two completely different sandboxes exist (PVP/PVE) cause this tired beating a dead horse comments like this one, will never EVER stop...soooo how can we fix this mess?

On top of that, the player/one of the players you kill with your bomb gets kill credit for you, if you kill yourself with the same bomb. Absolute bullshit. I'm quite satisfied with charged vortex grenade though. Players seem to underestimate the size of the vortex, or they're focused on other things and don't pay attention. Gets me several kills in almost every match, often double kills. Bloom helps that.

4 通の返信I agree with most of this. Here’s what I think needs to be done. All Trees: - Fix the issue with scatter grenades and bouncing. And increase damage by 15%. - Make Blink actually viable and provide less time where targets can attack your after-image. - Fix Warlock melee speed to be in line with other classes. Top Tree: - Enemies can no-longer pop nova Bomb. - Overcharged Scatter Grenades now behave like Nothing Manacles - Increase slowva-Bomb travel speed slightly. - Increased travel speed for overcharged axion bolt. Middle Tree: - Reduce the self-damage of handheld supernova by 1/2. - reduce the movement speed nerf from the previous nova warp nerf by 50%. (Half the penalty they added.) Bottom Tree: - Increase the duration of Nova Bomb Vortex. - kills with Devour also increases reload speed. I’d be okay if this was done. I mained Voidlock since the D1 beta, but after they got destroyed a few weeks after forsaken I started playing more on my others. I’ve been going back to it every now and then, but I wish that they would throw warlocks a bone in pvp. Titans could also use some love in PvE so the don’t feel shoehorned into Bubble.
