When’s the last time you did something that’s being vaulted for fun instead of completing a quest/bounty? For me it was pre-shadowkeep. I ran 100 people through outbreak perfected. Since then the only time I’ve ever done the old content was to complete a bounty or quest step.
The reality is most people are in that same boat. People weren’t running forges except to ark farm, people weren’t doing menagerie or Escalation protocol. Luke Smith gave us the numbers. Last season planets like Mars were only used by .3% of the population. That’s like 3000 people. That means 997,000 didn’t go there. Sounds like a waste of space to me, and I highly doubt the other content being vaulted had a much higher population.

See I like when people give me a reason instead of blindly just ranting thx for those numbers I honestly didn't realize the pop was so low in places but still i feel like there coming into my house and taking the game off my shelf and now their giving it away for free to the next guy when I paid for it and he just smashes it in the street I own it digitally but that's how it looks lol

I think people will be a lot less bothered about it once this season ends and the new expansion launches. It’s shaping up to look like some kind of seasonal event is going to give a story based reason as to why most of this stuff is going away. I feel like it that’s done well people will be a lot less bothered about it. Besides the way I understood vaulting was taking content out to edit or upgrade it kind of like how the moon was upgraded. Which honestly I’m fine with. Everything being vaulted was honestly subpar to what it could’ve been. Mercury is 1 location and the forest, Mars had terrible story based strikes. Titans best feature is literally an Easter Egg, and IO’s is a secret mission that used to only spawn on weekends for the taken public events (which had a low af spawn rate) I’m perfectly content to see all those location be taken out, spruced up and slowly added back in with seasonal stories tied to us cleansing the darkness from each planet or whatever.
