I’ve sunk more hours than I’ll ever care to admit into the Destiny franchise, and it’s because I loved it. But suddenly, as in the last few months, I’ve lost all interest. It’s no one thing, but more like death by a thousand cuts.
I can’t bring myself to dismantle another blue.
Or spend 10 minutes traveling over hill and dale to buy another mindless bounty.
i won’t earn another currency that expires in a few months.
Nor will I work to unlock armor I already had.
And the quality of the patches lately is a real turn off.
Seriously, I never thought I’d see the day (and during quarantine, of all times!!!) but I have no interest in picking up any of my 3 characters.

This is a very beautiful way to put it. I don’t hate destiny or Bungie. I just can’t bring myself to doing the same thing over again for the 1,000x. It’s just not making me happy anymore. To be fair it hasn’t made me happy since about TTK. I preferred the old 1-34 leveling system they had at the end of HoW.
