I just want to point out that vanguard, gunsmith, crucible, and every planetary vender is of the same style of D1 faction venders.
Do we really need more useless venders breathing our air?

That's not true. D1 factions all sold a full set of armor, 4 weapons (with random rolls that rotated each week after rise of iron), a sparrow, a ship, and took materials like spider. In my opinion all of the D2 vendors are inferior to the D1 factions. The planetary vendors don't have random rolls, plus you can only buy one gun at a time. It's random what you get when you rank up from crucible and vanguard, and you can't buy anything except their seasonal weapon. which has a static roll that doesn't change the whole season. Gunsmith doesn't sell anything. You can only get weapons when you rank up. Which takes far too long to actively go after a specific gun with a specific roll. If all the current vendors worked like D1 faction vendors I'd agree with you, but none of them do.

D1 vendor: slowly gain XP or donate materials to fill a bar for a package. You also buy some items with materials. D2 vendor: use tokens from the same things that used to give XP to fill a bar to get a package. You can also buy some items with materials.

Ok Let's compare D1 dead orbit to D2 zavalla. If i have 200 marks and I want a helmet, can I buy it? In D1 I can. In d2 I cannot. I want a sniper can I get one? In D1 I can buy the roll he's selling, or I can dump materials to try an get a god roll. Either way I can get my sniper. It's just a matter of how picky I want to be. In D2 I have to dump marks into zavalla and hope I get a sniper. I may get all armor, or other guns I don't want. I might get what I want, or I might get nothing. There's no way to know.

To me that is a very minor nitpick that could be changed in 2 seconds with no significant change to the vendor being required. And doesnt zavala sell some weapons or at least did in the past? Pretty sure he has. I haven't had a reason to speak to him in a long time. I know shax has a full set of items you can buy once you reach certain valor ranks or something.

Give more diversity of weaponry and armor the factions armor with the ornaments were awesome. Some of the weapons were nice as well. If we had random rolls on them you'd see at least some difference in crucible. Instead of bygones blast furnace lunas nf last word dust rock wardliff coil recluse.

I mean bringing back the faction vendors. Simple all they have to do is make you pledge to a faction doing activity any activity gets you tokens. You play around with that faction every week on each character want to switch you can every weekly reset.

Sure, but the vanguard and crucible vendors already do that. If you do strikes you get vanguard stuff, with your suggestion all it adds is the ability to get more faction gear for doing something you were already doing. Doubling your vanguard rewards would practically be the same thing.

But what if I don't want just vanguard? What if I want somthing from dead orbit or new monarchy or future war cult. What if I want that piece of armor from one of the factions. What if I want that certain gun that only the factions offered? Not the same service revolver or helmet I've gotten all year from the vanguard.

Exactly. I don't want just vanguard and crucible loot. I want loot from all the vendors. Back in d1 people chased after that dead orbit scout for that perfect roll. I want to get that little diamond in the pile of rocks that I happen to come across again.
