There are some things from D1 that worked well and did not need an overhaul. If it was not broke... then don’t try to fix it.

2 通の返信I'd rather we have both osiris and the nine. Osiris for the casuals/ boosted flawless and the nine for an alternative to comp. No reason to have it removed.

Would be lovely to have those faction leaders do something for the 1st time in a year and just return to how they were in D1, they could even port the way the faction leaders worked to every other vendor so all of them have a rotating stock of stuff and unique cosmetics themed around them etc to earn by doing their activities (strikes, crucible) or doing stuff on their respective planets (Public events, lost sectors etc).

That’s the one thing I never understood in D2. Factions should have stayed the same if not similar to how they were in D1. I really hope bungie somehow finds a way to implement them in soon in a similar manner.
-
Factions from D1 with regular vendor refreshes yes pls but I doubt it as Luke Smith said they struggled with the help of two activision studio's to deliver the annual pass content so we can expect much less from Bungie in year 3 as they are now alone.

2 通の返信I remember i paid 50$ for a Trials carry and i had better stats than the guy who took my money and i clutched 2 rounds with Sunsinger self rez. I realized i was a good player just needed good backup, miss Trials a lot, it was a great game mode so was Elimination and combined arms. They really dropped the ball in D2 by eliminating those.

Corrick IIにより編集済み: 8/14/2019 3:07:54 AMFactions shouldn’t come back until Bungie decides to actually make them relevant. Look at D1. The only thing that made it feel like you were a “member” of a faction was you. It was all in our heads. In the game, they were just glorified vendors. The “faction” aspect was a mirage, a fantasy, it didn’t actually affect the city or Vanguard or the game in any meaningful way other than providing yet another bar for us to fill up so we could get a prize. I think it would be great to see Factions matter. For example, if enough players of a certain faction complete patrols or PE’s in a certain zone, that zone gives a temporary boost to all of that faction’s members, or it gains an outpost with ammo consumables or resources only accessible to those pledged to that faction. Something, anything to make it feel like it actually matters that we pledge our characters to these groups.

1 返信Trials definitely needs dedicated servers, but other than that, definitely. https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/355113-bungies-response-destiny-2s-ddos-attacks-angered-community

2 通の返信...and they can actually upgrade the rest of the vendors in this game instead of just only Tess. It's a long list.
D1. Amanda Holiday running patrol you were able to collect schematics to turn in for ships. Later she gets a full inventory of all the ships that you could purchase. D2. Amanda Holiday has an empty inventory. Totally useless... D1. Vanguard starting out a fresh character all of them had a full inventory. D2. Vanguard you only have Zavala that has an inventory that hasn't been updated in a year. Cayde-6 is dead and removed from the game. Ikora has an empty inventory that she is nothing but a power engram holder, totally useless. D1. Factions always had a full inventory of emblems, weapons, gear and later updated to having a rotating inventory and they were there 24-7 that they also have (class-specific items.) D2. Factions were removed over a year ago. The dumbest move this company has ever made in this game with Factions. D1. The Gunsmith always had a full inventory D2. The Gunsmith 2 whopping mods handing out hundreds and thousands of duplicates. D1. The speaker has a full inventory and you could trade material D2. He's dead and removed from the game. D1. Cryptarch has 3 legendary engrams to chose from and a chance when turning in engrams of getting an exotic. D2. Cryptarch 1 legendary engram and shaders no one cares for. D1. Xur even has a better inventory then D2. D1. Every DLC all of the above were updated with a fresh inventory D2. All of the above barely anything updated in 2 years. Making them Totally useless. D1. Petra had somewhat of an inventory that you could collect a ship, shaders, etc. D2. Patra is nothing but a bounty place holder that has been handing out duplicates for 2 years. D1. Eris Morn in TDB had a full inventory of Shaders, emblems, Titan mark, Warlock bond, Hunters cloak and she sold ammo, etc. D2. Eris Morn I can almost guarantee she will only be a useless bounty place holder with Shadow Keep like the rest of the vendors in this entire game. D1. Crucible court master has a full inventory, you can purchase weapons sparrows and material that was updated ever DLC. D2. No crucible court master. D1. Vanguard court master has a full inventory of weapons, sparrows and later updated to purchase material. D2. No vanguard court master. D1. Shaxx had an inventory but was updated every DLC. D2. Shaxx hasn't been updated in a year other than quest like D1 had. D1. Variks has a full inventory of Amor, ships, shaders, ammo, Titan mark... and the material with a weapon that all of that was on a rotating system. D2. You don't have anything like that for any activity in the entire game. You run bounties and while running an activity like gambit hoping the wonderfull RNG will be in your favor. All of this and I didn't even add ROI vendors. Most vendors in D1 you could triad with or purchase certain items like ammo that the price varied in material/ glimmer giving you deals that weren't a high cost like a few items in D2. In D2 the vendors are totally useless or nothing but bounty place holders.
3 通の返信As far as I see it now with the state of quickplay and comp, it would actually be a sustainable game mode on weekends. I’d like to see it come back as solely elimination
There are some things from D1 that worked well and did not need an overhaul. If it was not broke... then don’t try to fix it.
And bring back D1 Crucible and so away with team shooting, have more Gun Skill rather then crutching the Meta Weapons, etc. create more 1v1s 1v2s etc.

14 通の返信I just want to point out that vanguard, gunsmith, crucible, and every planetary vender is of the same style of D1 faction venders. Do we really need more useless venders breathing our air?

5 通の返信I agree. I think they should double down on faction loyalty though. Bring back the exotic class items but make them only obtainable to the most loyal faction supporters. They were a bit too easy to get in D1. All loyalty rewards should be cosmetic only. Guns should be more easily obtainable so you can switch factions to get them without too much hassle. Maybe give the loyalist cool weapon ornaments. Basically reward loyalty without making the people who jump around feel punished for switching factions. Stuff that affects gameplay should be fairly easy to obtain (ie not having to stay pledged for a long time) and cosmetics should be reserved for only the most loyal faction supporters.

11 通の返信Or... Hear me out... What if instead of trying to replicate D1. We asked for something even better? I know, D1 ws the greatest game ever made and everything about it was perfect. But, this is probably just me, I always felt the faction system in d1 was pretty half assed.
