yep, power level advantages should only be in competitive! Iron Banner is a special event, but it's not a competitive playlist. Again it was a kneefall to the streamers and no-lifers to implement level advantages.
i'm 612 and i quit iron banner matches when i see too many with 640-650

What we wanted was a light level advantage in PVE NOT PVP !! -blam!-ing Bungie idiots think they know what we want and even if they did ?! Had absolutely no intention of giving it to us and thought having a power advantage in IB would make up rofl. Blind fools !!

Iron Banner is a competitive playlist..... It always has been. Should there be zoned power tiers? Yes, and if only, there was a larger playerbase to boast it. But this would make PL irrelevant and narrow the playerpool for long, and possibly, never-ending matchmaking times. Light Advantage has been tweaked over the years, it was brutal at first, then more forgiving, then Thorn rose to power and almost leveled the field in a cancerous manner for 6 months. TTK released and a new power system was made. Power was easy to obtain and hardly anyone was underleveled for it. ROI released and that final tweak was pretty good. Sure, RNG is an ass at times but it has been like this for a while. D2Y1 had people complain of no power advantage. Only span of time that this happened and it was for a good reason seeing the Y1 loadout system was terrible.

no, imo iron banner doesn't count for competitive progress! D2 Y1 it was easy to level up. Everybody wanted only a small reward for max power level. Now only the no-lifers and hardcore players achieving max power level in a shorter time period and that is not ok to give them an advantage, it's elitism thinking and a sort of discriminating against the casual players.
