Or, just go and play the raid and learn as you go. Raids arent that hard anymore.

Sure they aren’t hard for some of us. We are very few. I’ve done hundreds. Problem is very few make that jump to endgame. Most can’t find a team to teach them. Need X completions. Endgame shouldn’t have been made easier. Destiny should have a way to PROVE to others your skills and raid gear(solo arena earned)are ready to go. Too many need X completions to join posts. This would make more people ok with guys joining that haven’t completed raid. Only Like only 5% do endgame. It’s a pain in the ass to find teams. This would make matchmaking possible for smaller groups or even solo. Guided games doesn’t really work. you never know what you are going to get. At least this way players would see you have the skill required without it being a carry.

The problem is the "casuals" are always late to the game(endgame that is) and expect to find teams and such with no effort. If they started raiding when everyone else did that are posting for "x amount of completions" they would have everything required to join said groups. If you don't know by now that if you try and raid 2+ months after the fact it's going to be hard to find a team then there is just no hope for you, been that way since the very beginning of D1.I remember the big stink the PvP only players made about KF raid when the book came out and the MG was OP in PvP and they couldn't get it since no one would carry them.

Has it occurred to you that it might be your fault that people don’t have experience? You deny them chances because they haven’t done it. Teach them, let them learn, and you will both profit in the end. Stop being some stuck up a** hat and help people.

I helped out over 100 "new to raid" players during Crota and then closer to the end before HoW they became "I don't want to learn so just carry me" so I stopped(along with my friends). Tried again during KF and that was a huge mistake, just PvP only players trying to get the MG for trials and would not learn and expected to be carried.Wouldn't even pay but they turned around and charged $50 for a trials carry.

The whole idea was to help bring causal or newer players to endgame. Increasing the endgame population and bringing the casual player to a more skilled, involved, prepared level. A good way to bridge the huge gap from strike to raid.

An in game progression system preparing skills and gear leading to raid matchmaking would help those that aren’t lazy and are just late because of real life time restraints. This system would separate the two because the arena takes time and effort due to is mechanics, difficulty and solo que. It really would help increase the ease of finding qualified teams or solo skilled players to raid with. Having to hunt on sites for x completions groups because it’s the only way of seeing someones skill and effort isn’t going to increase the community with quality players to join.
