A year or so before Destiny came out I was looking forward to a Borderlands like game with real multiplayer not just co-op. It was always a PvP game from way before it ever came out.

Don't get me wrong, I expected it to have the same good PvP as Halo BUT I think most people considered this to be more of a game with focus on PvE. Just look at the inflow of MMO and PS4 players we had. Those are not known for their FPS PvP abilities .
