I would say warlock because of Osiris and he's well known to be the most powerful guardian in the history of Destiny.

2 RepliesTitans have power, Hunters have cunning and fearlessness, and Warlocks have their knowledge and space magic. I wouldn't really say there's a best class. Titans would easily stomp Hunters in an open field but in a forest/jungle?
-
16 RepliesWarlock were the only ones lore wise that could take on a ahamkara. Hunters and titans struggled with the babies. Warlocks are mostly scholarly, but they are by far the most powerful and have the most potential for raw power, any way you slice it. It says in game that warlocks are not bound by the laws of space and time. We can reshuffle the atoms of an object with a wave of our hands. Our "dresses" are designed by the molecules to channel our power. Don't get me wrong, all guardians classes are awesome in their own way.

Dredgen yor was a warlock... he just wore the cloak of a hunter he killed

2 RepliesWhen it comes to the npcs in the story arc, titans have a personality drier than sun bleached bone in the desert. I mean really, every time you interact w Zalvala or Shax, they act like emotionless tool bags w no sense of life. However, hunters like Cayde and (god help me) Eris show true emotion and passion in their communications both in cutscenes and during regular game play (can actually hear it in the inflections in their voices)

17 RepliesEdited by HELP1NG HAND: 6/28/2016 5:01:01 AMI'm gonna go with Titans. There are a few impressive Hunters in the lore, and Warlocks certainly are very VERY powerful. But Titans are described as being so mighty that other guardians are figuratively able to stand on their shoulders. The enemies of the city wield power that defies imagination. Hive Knights who have studied for countless millennia in the Sword Logic. The Vex, a single, hyper-intelligent entity through a hundred million teleporting war frames across space and time, etc. Titans are described as being SO powerful, that they shake off these foes and simply crush them. Kabr, the Legionless who single-handedly destroyed the Vex on their own ground within the Vault of Glass. He could not be defeated by them in combat, not even within their own construct of the Vault where they determine the laws of reality. He eventually was claimed by the Vault itself and lost to the tides of time, but not before inflicting a permanent wound to the Vault itself and letting in the light. his power STILL remains in the Vault of Glass in the form of the Aegis, and makes our successful raid a possibility. Vell Tarlowe of the Pilgrim Guard who was so mighty a Titan that others could feel his power. And with that lone strength, they felt invincible. He mocked Hive Knights, beings responsible for the genocide of countless worlds, as being weaklings. -and took pleasure in simply beating them to death. Saladin Forge, who commanded the defense of the City at Six Fronts and the Twilight gap, the only surviving Iron Lord, and the one who compares our own formidable strength (power enough to crush Kells, break entire Houses of Fallen, slay Hive gods, and defeat the Vex collective mind) to that of an apple seed, tiny but with the potential to be great. No. Warlocks are powerful to be sure, but Titans bear the dream of the City on their shoulders. They are the ones who stand on the wall and are responsible for the defense of the city. In the lore, I cannot find more examples of raw power and unconquerable might than the description of the Titans.

1 ReplyTitans are the best hands down, warlocks are second, and sadly hunters are last. As a hunter I'm pretty dissappointed but at least we have Efrideet, Ana Bray, Perun, Andal Brask, and Gheleon.
-
Titans are freaking awesome. I mean just walk around the tower. You know who's in charge...
-
Titans and it's not close
-
7 RepliesDregden Yor was a Warlock.... Common misconception that he was a hunter but if you look at the evidence, he was a Voidwalker Warlock
-
4 RepliesIt depends which one helps reach your goals the most. Titans were and possibly still are the protectors of the city. We see many factions of titans in the grimoire whose ideas all revolve around protecting the last safe haven on earth. So, if you want to protection, then titans are the best. Warlocks are scholars, as over used that word may be. They are the ones who seek to learn about the nature of the traveller and the powers bestowed on them. So pretty much, they don't have much to offer unless you are a warlock yourself. Hunters are explorers and we'll, hunters. Their eyes are pointed towards outside the walls, seeking to take back what was once our land. So pretty much, if your aim is to reclaim, hunters are the best Story wise though, I go Titan, then Warlock, and finally hunter just because there are so many more well known titans and significantly less warlocks, but almost no important hunters.

I read Tupac at the names from titans xD

Hunter vanguard cloak, End Unsung. 'Nuff said.

Edited by Artesians: 7/4/2016 4:52:47 PMAll the while the main force and minds bicker over who has the biggest stick, the Hunters spend their time in the field. Scouting enemies (ahem, Crota). Guiding refugees. But you know, all we care about is how great Nova Bomb, hunting Ahamkara, protecting the Wall are. If Warlocks and Titans are the power and face of the Guardians, Hunters are the power and face of the people on the ground and in the city. The Hunters in the lore bring personality and struggle to the cartoonish story in the game.

20 RepliesEdited by CommanderC2121: 6/30/2016 9:37:23 PMLets say, lore wise, titans are unstoppable. Literally. Nothing you warlocks or hunters can do could stop a titan battalion. Why? Ward of dawn. Lore wise, it is a rip in reality. Unbreakable, unmovable, unstoppable. Titans were the first on the field, and the only ones left after the assault. Hammer of sol. It is a literal milnjoir (butchered that, sry). It is a hammer forged from the cores of suns, making it so dense only a sunbreaker titan has the strength to lift it, let alone throw it. Oh, and now think of suncharge. The titan is moving faster then a freight train with the mass of a suns core in his hand. Thats enough force to crack a mountain. Finally, strikers. Strikers are the embodiment of strength. They are fueled lightning, with fists that hit so hard they make thunder claps. And FoH? FoH is what would happen when you fuse the thermal energy formed by lightning with a tank, full of explosives. The force is so great it shakes the gound, making craters where it lands. Sure, warlocks have abilities like nova bomb, but the thing you must realize is that a collapsing star cannot break reality. It can bend it, but it is no more then pure manipulation. Sunsingers are merely imbued with the heat of the sun, with their grenades reaching multiple thousands of degrees, but having nothing but hot air to show. Stormcallers are also powerful, their landfall trying to replicate what titans can do, but they are not the same. Afterwards, the lightning they shoot is powerful, but the voltage is merely a fraction of what the striker can create. Hunters are weakest lore wise. Their golden gun is powerful, with the bullets fashioned from the cores of stars as well, but unlike the sunbreaker, the gunslinger merely uses their powers of the sun for offense, whereas the sunbreaker will use the suns power for offense and defense. Arc blade is a lightsaber with a shorter reach. Lets just say a hammer that weights billions of tons hits harder. Nightstalker is the most powerful hunter class lore wise. They can change how gravity works on someone, suppressing their thoughts, movement, and actions, but in the end, are not powerful enough to stop a titan legion. There is a reason the triple kill medal for striker titans is called "Cry Havoc" In a play of Shakespeare, julius Caesar I believe, a line if spoken of the roman army, saying how one day, the leader of rome would Cry Havoc, and the world would fall before them, the ruins of lesser civilizations the only scraps left. Some day, the vanguard will cry havoc, and when they do, the titans will raze the ground, the sky, and the space before them. Nothing can stop them. Nothing can slow them down
-
Fellwinter made a lot of people cry for the longest time, my money would be on Warlocks.
-
As a hunter, I have to say titans do. You've got lord saladbar, who survived as a lord of iron. Saint-14, who literally killed a kell with a headbutt. Kabr, who sacrificed himself to infuse his light into vex mechanisms to create the aegis relic in the vault of glass
-
Warlocks and Titans tie imho. Tales of Saint-14 and Kabr are inspiring and awesome But the legends of Warlocks like Osiris, who predicted Oryx before most knew about Crota, and Toland who became an Ascendant Hive using the Sword logic. Just both great classes. I honestly don't know enough about hunters to chime in on them tho, other than Shin/Dredgen, who seem cool and interesting but not all that important to the overall story, and Eris who is also super cool and important, but not mysterious anymore.

1 ReplyIt's actually quite an interesting thought. Titans have great lore that shows their devotion. That need to protect the last city their lore in a way tells you the story of the city and what makes it special. Hunters have very personal lore, like a character driven movie almost gives you an idea behind the personalities of the city. Warlock lore is all about power, the cosmos and its mysteries. Not to mention the power that is fighting against us, through warlocks we see how truly formidable and frightening our enemies are. They all have pretty bad ass lore. Each with its own place

-
I like Titan lore but Toland is pretty awesome
-
Warlocks are the most interesting ppl as they actually look beyond the traveler and speaker for knowledge and guidance instead of being mindless drones. Toland the shattered became a hive ghost and made bad juju, was instrumental in taking down crota and Oryx, didn't stop being useful just because of a little thing such as death. Can't think of anything a titan or hunter has done that is anywhere near that interesting.
-
1 ReplyFor stories I've always loved the hunter lore. Warlocks are all crazy. Titans have god stories too.
-
Any1 who doesn't vote all of the above is missing a brain

Saint-14 is my favorite lore story.
