What subclass is Cayde 6?

I feel like the vanguard are special because they've mastered the subclasses to the point that they can use all the abilities and skills seamlessly, Cayde is neither Gunslinger, or Bladedancer, or Nightstalker. He is a Hunter or a Master Hunter. I mean thats kind of the point right, they are supposed to be our mentors, how can you teach someone if you dont know what youre teaching

I say he's a bladedancer because when you enter the vault door to get the stealth drive, he says "And the flux grenades didn't detonate?" This means he uses flux grenades as bladedancers do. Of course could easily have used them even if he was a gunslinger, but its honestly the only evidence towards any subclass we get

1 ReplyHonestly, I bet he switches it around. I'm pretty certain he has all three based off his dialog. I want to say Bladedancer based on his love of invisibility, but having a powerful hand cannon like a space cowboy seems...fitting.

1 ReplyCayde... is the Nightbladeslinger. His super is pulling out a void bow which shoots a golden gun. He can trigger the void bow at any time, at which point tethers shoot out, attaching it to nearby structures in a web. The Golden Gun now takes aim and auto fires 3 Arc Blades, which aggresively track enemies, and, upon hitting them, sends out a bolt of electrical energy powerful enough to reanimate all nearby enemies as arc-charged allies for him, wielding powerful arc weaponry. He is unbeatable.

4 RepliesBefore everyone says about the Flux Grenades and "Us Nightstalkers" quote, I believe he is a Gunslinger for a few reasons. 1: He is a pretty cocky guy. The term "gunslinger" is usually associated with those who shoot first and ask questions after they shot a 2nd time. Plus the Ace of Spades being crafted for him and his connection to playing cards would fit well together. 2:He has a severe gambling problem. Cowboys often gambled in the Old West. I mean it's literally in every single Western movie. They are risk takers always looking for a big score. Another quality of those generally termed "gunslingers". 3: He has very little respect for authority. That is made very apparent when he says to Zavala about the fact that he sent a Guardian to the Dreadnaught without any permission. Again, another "gunslinger" stereotype. 4: Finally, he absolutely hates being stuck in the Tower as a Vanguard. He misses the action of combat. Gunslingers are born fighters and would rather be shooting than sitting. I know people will disagree with me, and that's perfectly fine. We all have our opinions and this just happens to be mine. What is yours?

Cayde is a Bladedancer, because of the fact that he used flux grenades to protect his stash of loot and that or favorite Lord Shaxx always calls Cayde a "sly bastard" and says that he "ran around the Crucible like it was a game", and everyone nothing is faster than a Bladedancer except a Titan who learned how to air skate, and Cayde is obviously not a Titan.

1 ReplyI just want to point out that a guardian can change subclass. In the storyline (or what's left of it), your guardian uses the newer subclass, by the obtaining of the hammer, the bow, and the palpatine fingers.

3 RepliesWhat makes you think he's only one? I really hate when people say Guardians can only be one subclass. I'd say he prefers Bladedancer only because he seems to have a larger fascination with them, but you can find evidence of him being every subclass.

Probably more of a quality build, rather than straight strength or straight dex.
