Nova Bomb: Vortex vs Shatter vs Lance
Which Nova Bomb do you use for PVE or PVP and why?

vortex - annihilate - embrace the void - axion bolt best setup for pvp. for pve i usually run stormcaller or grenade spam with scatter nades

Shatter, angry magic, and bloom. Been using that since day one.

Shatter for PVE, allows me to get a wider range of damage across spread out groups of enemies (like the Cabal, who like to move around when you try and engage them). For PVP, mostly Lance, to long-bomb shot enemies.

I use shatter, annihilate, and bloom. Makes things go boom.

Only made my warlock a week ago, but for pvp I'm using shatter + annihilate.

Edited by ZoniCat: 2/8/2015 2:52:36 PMI don't use novabomb very often, but my friend is a fanatic about it. he prefers shatter and angry magic agaist bosses, because you canget in massive amounts of damage if you use it right. also from my perspective it just looks cool to have not 1 but 3 purple balls homing in on a single boss. in patrol and in parts of a raid without a boss he prefers vortex and bloom, especially in the VoG due to the vex's slow movement speed. when he uses vortex it seems he prefers annihilate

Personally I like the; Shatter, Annihilate, Bloom combo. I like s'plosions

Edited by Barbatos: 2/11/2015 2:04:13 AMPvP: Vortex and Shatter. I tend to get more kills with the former. You be surprised how many players just walk into it. PvE: Shatter. A larger AOE equals higher enemy kills. I use Vortex sometimes but it's only truly effective against stationary enemies. Others just move out or don't even enter the AOE.

I use lance, it's reliable and quick. Not the biggest blast radius (still massive though) but it's got the most predictable trajectory- a straight line.

I used to use shatter for its wider horizontal coverage, but it lacked the aoe vortex provided. I also used Lance, but I was unable to use the trajectory to hit stuff behind walls. So in the end, I just went back to vortex.
