If you cant manage your bandwidth and peering connections - hire a company that can

Now sick to death of being booted out of the game 8 times in a row. You suggest that I'm connecting via a mobile phone, then you suggest that it might be my failing router or network. Really? Whats more likely that my 4 week old new router tat came with my new 20Mb/s fibre broadband connection is failing - or that after 4pm GMT when the USA wakes up and number of players triples your shitty bandwidth management results in failed and dropped connections ?

  • If you're seeing problems after a certain time, it is likely to be congestion or traffic shaping with your ISP, or one of their peer companies. Destiny doesn't use traditional server-client. It is a mix of P2P and server-client. They use servers only for certain activities. Things like patrol, tower etc, are P2P groups. They also do use another company, they're called Demonware and are owned by Activision. The same company that provides on-line services for Diablo, the COD series, as well as other titles.

    • Hi there, I am sorry to hear you have been having these connection issues, and we understand it is frustrating to hear that changing your home network can help if it was working previously, but many others have reported success by following the steps on our help pages, which I will post here just in case: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11930 In some cases, even power-cycling the router/modem and the console itself can refresh your connection. Additionally, it may be a temporary connectivity issues attributed to heavier or slower traffic than normal in your physical area. If none of the above-mentioned steps work, we are aware that sometimes this is out of the player's control, and we understand this may be an issue you cannot solve alone. In all cases, we’re constantly monitoring and improving our network services to keep Destiny up and running for as many players as possible.
