Everytime Bungie tries to make something else the meta, PvP players howl.
"Oh, its a no-skill meta......"
English

To be fair, auto rifles are pretty low skill. Probably the lowest skill primaries. I definitely wouldn't mind another scout or pulse meta.
-
Disagree. They require a different set of skills that’s shooters gamers have just arbitrarily decide not to value. Even though that skill has made Tom Brady very wealthy and very famous.

Editado por Sey: 8/4/2021 7:27:54 PMPlease don’t tel me you thought that the “hard light” meta required skill? You could literally map someone and it had the highest TTK the game had ever seen since OG Vex back in D1. Not to mention the fact that you could literally spray bullets at walls and get kills??

Editado por TheArtist: 8/4/2021 4:31:09 PMAny weapon that isn’t the Smart Pistol from Titanfall ( a sidearm that delivered guided, OHK shots like a rocket launcher) takes skill. The issue is what KIND of skill. Using an automatic weapon takes different skills than using a sniper or a hand cannon. The issue is you have a shooter culture that has arbitrarily decided not to value and to denigrate those skills. It’s like saying a baseball pitcher can throw a ball with skill, but that an NFL quarterback can’t. I can assure you that hitting a target moving 20mph, across you field of vision at a glance in his chest with a football takes a great deal of skill. Most people can’t do it…and it’s why the people who are the world’s best at it are rich and famous for being able to do it. Being able to hit a guardian in the head while he’s moving….while controlling the recoil and predicting where he will move so you can continue to deliver headshots as he tries to evade you. So you can get the optimum TTK ? Takes a great deal of skill. Skills that are rare and highly prized in other games. Despite shooter gamers not respecting them.
-
Even the Titanfall 1 Smart Pistol required an amount of skill. Being "not dying while completing a multi-second lock on."
-
….and not being seen by your target. But map positioning skill is a different lecture. 🙃
-
Got it, so holding down RT at a wall and getting a kill is skillful now. Noted
-
Irrelevant strawman argument in defense of a cultural norm (however unreasonable) noted.
Disagree. They require a different set of skills that’s shooters gamers have just arbitrarily decide not to value. Even though that skill has made Tom Brady very wealthy and very famous.
I’d rather no meta and actual balance. But that doesn’t sell season passes
-
Metas will exist no matter what you do.

-
Exacto.

Its because passive play doesnt require the same level of thought that jumping into a room with four people and coming out alive requires. I dont wanna sit back and lane with my teammates. That legitimately takes no PERSONAL SKILL. It takes team synergy which isnt necessarily a skill
-
You don't need a HC + SG to walk out of a room with four other players though. I've done it with nothing but my war rig and sweet business. Been using that combo to rack up kills since launch. You've just got to tap into your inner Ahnold and give no poops.
-
Thats the point tho. I dont wanna cheese my way to killing four people. I want my mind to race and think and feel the serotonin release when i win
-
Thats the point tho. I dont wanna cheese my way to killing four people. I want my mind to race and think and feel the serotonin release when i win
You sound like a loser.
-
And you sound like a judgmental virgin who thinks that trolling his way through life if the best course of action. Go talk to a girl nerd
-
Since when has the Business been cheese? I've heard it called just about everything else, but not cheese. Walking into a room and outlasting four other players would give anyone a rush.
-
Well i mean you have a hundred round clip that reloads itself and is uncountable once spun up... with the other loadout i have about twelve bullets on average to do what i need to do. Knowing that if i miss, a reload will mean death
-
My 100 round magazine is useless if I don't keep a tight control of the recoil. 12 rounds in a hand cannon means just about as much as my 100 rounds when you've got reload dodge. That's not even taking into account the mods.
-
Most handcannons dont have twelve bullets. Im talking about the 10 in my pali and the two shotgun shells. Its literally not even comparable
-
See, that's why you need to be specific about what you talk about. You said 12 bullets like it's what the magazine size of your HC was. If you want to add in shotguns, then you're changing the conversation completely. I still stand by what I said about the reload dodge and reload mods, no matter how many rounds that your HC holds.
-
Bro dude said actium war rig WITH sweet business which mean he effectively doesn't have to reload. I do IF i miss. You can say they are comparable all you want to but its just objectively wrong
-
I've tried to enlighten you. You have chosen to remain obstinate. I leave you now to remain in the dark. Goodbye.

Homie ive been playing this game for 7 years now. There is not a build nor playstyle that i haven't used or explored. This is my favorite ever since mid year two. I will always use a hand cannon with a short range option whether that be a shotgun, fusion or smg. You literally tried to roll over the fact that im talking about a rush you get when you HAVE to be accurate not the one that you get wheb you just get for kills in a row. I dont just mean accurate shots either. I mean movement and ability usage as well
