Some of you may know that the OGCR (Offtopic Galactic Combat Ring) is currently developing a comprehensive list of ALL current standing offtopic powers and allegiances. This includes the strength and assets of specific factions, as well as the technologies and powers available to it's people.
[spoiler]The OGCR was erected as a monument to peace and progress in Offtopicia, and as such has been offered such powers agreed upon by the most powerful factions and members of offtopic:
- To Categorize and Monitor factions and powers present in the greater Offtopic lore
- To Nerf such powers, abilities, peoples, technologies, weapons, etc. that are too powerful
- To do away with anything that isn't in the spirit of good fun
Along with numerous other more specific rights and duties of the OGCR.[/spoiler]
To better perform it's duties and achieve it's goals, I am asking on behalf of the OGCR for all members of offtopicia to come forward and please alert me to any and all abilities, assets, powers, etc. or anything of the like that a person or a faction they represent has access too.
These will then be cataloged, monitored, and regulated for use in the OGCR appropriately.
Furthermore, please include in the information you provide a complete list of territory/assets you control, including land, vehicles, space, pocket dimensions, etc. Also, if you are worried a weapon or power you have access to is in risk of being overpowered, you may offer many [u]recommendations[/u] as to your preferred ways to reduce it's power or otherwise regulate it while still maintaining the "spirit" of such assets.

Faction: Agents of the Astral Realm Members: Acro (user), Ember (Acro's companion), Rain (NPC). Allies: Bopsheezi. Territories: Acro's Lab (lab on outskirts of offtopic), Astral Plane (a different dimension that I have absolute power over), a pocket dimension (full of mac n cheese), pocket dimension 2 (storage space) Technologies: Neko genetic Lab (lab to create genetically engineered nekos), mastery of electricity and conductive gasses, mastery over force and energy manipulation via power glove, high strength fabric durable enough to stop a bullet and extremely cut resistant (often used in stylistic and durable Coats) I think that that may be it all, but if there is Anything else, I'll add it.

7 RespuestasNah. I don’t do unions. People tend towards depending on and calling for nerfs because they lack the imagination and persistence to adapt. Case in point: As soon as Hero dropped in Smash, lots of people called to him to be banned from tournaments, even by high level players. It was pathetic. I’ve lurked during some RP sessions here, and even remembering from my DOJO days, it consistently held true: if someone has abilities that seem intimidating, too complex, unexpected, or just generally not easy, the other person would cop out or claim “OP”, or rather, most people would rather not think outside of the box or push their creativity in order to defeat their enemy. They aren’t willing to admit defeat. Such is the internet/gamer culture today: too lazy to rise to the occasion.

I mean, I don’t participate in any of the RP stuff here, but I don’t see why not list what abilities I would have if I did (that’s what this thread is, right?). [u]The Amulet of Avalor;[/u] Though technically an artifact of potentially unlimited power, how much of that power is actually usable is linked directly to the strength of the user’s heart, which is determined by 2 factors; 1. How much the user believes in what they’re doing 2. If they’re staying true to themselves. Even if you believe wholeheartedly in what you’re doing, and are the most self-honest person ever, that doesn’t give you infinite power, though. Generally, though, it doesn’t have offensive capabilities, instead doing things like letting you change your form, teleportation, etc. There are two functions that it can perform at any time, though. 1. It is a soul vessel, allowing it to store souls within. If the heart of the person within is stronger than the user, though, they can control what the Amulet does (but not let themselves out) 2. Connect the hearts of people. This basically allows a temporary transfer of power between the user and another person, as long as they’re touching. Also, the Amulet changes colors based on the aura of who’s controlling it. That’s pretty neat. [u]The Dream Rod;[/u] Can make a pretty much perfect copy of a person from the user’s memory. This includes their powers, limitations, personality, etc. They can be banished at will, only one person at a time. [u]Alchemy;[/u] It’s basically earthbending, but instead of martial arts, I need to clap my hands and touch whatever I want to bend. [u]Papika;[/u] Not a “power” per se, but rather a partner. By linking our hearts via the Amulet of Avalor, I can grant Papika access to her “Pure Barrier” form. Without the Amulet, she can only access this form within Pure Illusion, by tapping into her connection with Cocona. This form has access to large energy shields, which could defend against anything up to a blast that could destroy a small city. These shields have to be manually activated, can cover a small radius, and cannot be used in conjunction with her guns. Alternatively, she has her Papikannons (they’re not actually called that), which are essentially explosive machine guns. The explosions are pretty small, though. Could destroy a building after a good bit of concentrated fire, but it’d take a while. And finally she has her water.. Goop.. Stuff. She can create balls of water of various sizes. They can be used as trampolines, or much stronger (but much smaller) shields, or powerful explosives. [u]Pure Illusion;[/u] Both Papika in her fairy form, or me at any time, have the ability to jump to Pure Illusion, which can only be accessed via special interdimensional pathways, such as those owned by Asclepius, and Flip Flap. Finally, there was a brief time when I had access to the Constant, but most of the time when I had access to these powers the Amulet became inert, due to being unsure of my actions. [u]The Constant;[/u] Can teleport to and from the Constant, a normally almost unreachable area, where normal magic doesn’t work. I could trap people within the Constant by making deals with them, or summoning shadow creatures to help me fight. They’re not too strong, though, a person trained in basic sword combat could fend one off.

The gate planet has access to a pocket dimension which contains the capital. My people deal in weapons, technology, and magic mostly. We’re creators, problem solvers, we can make and understand nearly anything. My fleets have weapons focused on energy manipulation. Converting shields (store a percentage of the energy, you can decide), sapping beams of frost, corrosive rockets. [u]If we could have overpowered things[/u], I’d make a weapon that negates (slows severely) the excitation of particles in a certain area. Stopping all motion in an enemy ship and instantly killing all life. My soldiers have the standard EABR (energy and ballistics rifle). A rifle capable of firing...bullets and energy. Impact and piercings can be higher (your choice). The covenant vehicles with variants (fire/flame for anti personnel, corrosive for anti vehicle, shock for shields, frost or shock for anti air. If I need to make changes, just tell me.

My territories are The Chiss Ascendancy, a dimension known as The Wraith Realm, A System yet unnamed and A large amount of the Unknown Regions. Those are owned by default The Chiss Ascendancy and I am it's emissary. So technically I call the shots there.

4 RespuestasName: Pure Vessel Origins: unknown Faction: unknown Weapons: orthos prime, tatsu, pure nail, dex sybaris, soma, sabre turrets, and various other weapons that deal fire, shock, corrosive, or slag damage. List subject to updating whenever the individual departs to other lands. Territory: unknown, tends to wander outside of offtopic in search of a challenge. Abilities: focus, focuses soul in the air to heal wounds, can remove most negative effects. Shade soul, a projectile spell fueled by a dangerous combination of soul and void. Descending dark, user channels soul and void into its fist and slams the ground with a devastating blast. Abyss shriek, causes a dangerous blast of soul and void that burns targets that get too close. Void heart, commands the void to take the shape of anything the user wants. Gunzerking, dual wields two different guns at the same time. Skills: great slash, a single devastating slash (requires a moment to charge.) Dash slash, dashes forward and damages any foes along the way (requires a moment to charge.) Cyclone slash, spins extremely fast and can deal considerable damage (requires a moment to charge.) Passive: shade, dying leaves behind a shade that holds most of the vessel's gear. Respawning is possible but will lose most of its gear (except for the nail due to it being blessed to never leave its user's side.) Killing the shade allows the vessel to reclaim its lost items. Some restrictions to this ability can be applied.

Abilities: Iron Dragon Fist (Physical, melee): His hand gets encased in a thick exoskeleton, and punches creating a devastating blow. Fireball (magic, ranged): It’s...well...a fireball...not that hard to imagine. Heat up (magic, support): He heats up the area around him, giving all opponents within a 15m distance a -25% fire resistance, all allies (including self) gain +15% fire damage and +50% cold resist. Flame burst kick (magic, physical, melee): He shoots fire out of his foot rocketing him into the air for a charged kick attack. Dragon scale (support, passive): His body is covered in a metal exoskeleton, protecting him from physical harm. The downside of this ability is he can’t use Fireball or Heat up if it is activated. Ultimate: Enrage: Fire envelopes his soul and makes him enraged, his body becomes one with his flame and burns off his robe. Enrage gives him +200% attack and +100% defense stats. Contains forces of Shades the Disciples of Nothing. The Inquisitors of the New Empire, a special operations force with high ranking and high budget. All Inquisitors carry a roll of at first lieutenant upon completion of training in several fields including, but not limited to: special weapons training, tactical operations, espionage, and deception. Edit: I’ve noticed most people are including their own abilities as well. Should I do that? And if so, is it possible for you to view posts within a group you haven’t joined?

2 RespuestasI’ll give you my regular load out. Weapons- Nanite Blade: a sword made of nanites. It can change into any melee weapon. Crescent Blade: A sword made of crescent shards. It can absorb energy and imbue attacks with them. Sunburst Blaster: A gun made with a sunshard core. It’s shots can melt through nearly anything. Armor- A suit made of nanites. It can shift around to better protect damage but that leaves another area weak. Abilities- Can make things out of nanites. Can build more nanites. Territories- Owl Laboratories
