Why is Nova warp getting nerfed?! But not other things?
This is an issue of mine. I am a warlock main and since day one warlocks have always had the short end of the stick in pvp. We meaning (people that play warlock mains) finally get a pvp class that is on par with most supers and now it is being nerfed. We can get chaos reached out of nova warp, someone can snipe us out of it; beat down shot gunned, team shot with lunas out of it. The one time warlocks have something good its always nerfed by bungie. You have titans that when they pop the slam they're invincible for a few moments i.e ( shot gunned a guy and during my beat down he decided to slam)..... AND GUESS WHAT? I died.. It seems like everything on a hunter is being buffed though made spectral blades better which can kill me out of my nova warp... titan shield can kill you. I've even played a group that used bubble on control and I charged with my nova warp in the bubble and died my warp just blew them out of the bubble. It's amazing how hunters can use a Blade Barrage that tracks the enemy rather you are behind them or on the side. Also titans have a one hit melee. Now people want to complain because warlocks who have the worse armor selection in the game and has nothing that helps in pvp but the one thing we do have which is nova warp is getting nerfed. you can have a spectral blade last all game just about or a hunter can constantly get his blade barrage back with the gauntlets. Titans can have one eyed mask and keep getting over shield after each kill. Now Bungie wants to nerf nova warp because people complain its a super and on top of that nova warp is only good in pvp because when it comes to damaging a boss in pve its straight boo boo.... Its a super so let it be what the name says a SUPER!

3 RespuestasEvery class had there time as the AIDS of PvP. Hunters had OG OP broke as hell Blade Dancer arc bolt, blink shotty, wombo combo. Warlock had Thorny SelRez Touch of Flame Trials, Zap shotty punch Titans had Insta overshields shotty suppression and double lighting stick. That was just D1 D2, Hunters ruled most of vanilla D2 PvP. Now Titans came.arouns a bit with the buff to Shoulder charge and Skullfort. Now warlocks catching shit for Nova warp. Hopefully once they break Nova warp and make it shit, we can go back to hating on Hunters.. start the whole cycle over again. lol

It’s not broken at all. People just exaggerate to get it nerfed because it killed them in the crucible and they don’t like that. And after reading a lot of the kids replies in here, it’s obvious almost all of them have never used it and are just spreading lies hopping Bungie will believe them.

When a roaming super has the same AoE (and almost same damage) as an instant use super then you’ve got a problem. I still think Spectral Blade’s range buff was over the top a bit and it’s not even half the range of Nova Warp. Range reduction will still keep it powerful while making it less OP.

Of course you are a warlock main...they are the only ones who think nova warp is fine. It's such a coincidence that when a person's class is getting nerfed, it suddenly unfair...weird how that works

You [i]do[/i] realise chaos reach is a warlock super right? Let me try to remember back when mayhem was in the rotation. Now who was it that wrecked it? Seem to think warlocks spamming nova bombs, wasn't it? Nova warp in PvP is ridiculous. It goes on for far too long and has a crazy reach. Reduce its duration and it's fine. Warlocks have never had the short straw in PvP. Frankly I think a few tweaks here and there and every class is pretty much balanced. Mayhem is going to be crazy when it returns tho!

Probably because Nova Bomb basically isn't used any more. So you'll probably get a tweak to Nova Warp to reduce the community outcry, while getting a major buff to Nova Bomb which is so bad right now in both sides of the game its pitiful. They'll probably get rid of the ability to Nova Warp through walls, and call it a day.

It's the best super in the game. It's more broken than blade dance was in year 1 and guess what? That was nerfed! It's literally the same thing but because warlocks never had a dominant super it shouldn't be nerfed?? 😂

It lasts WAY too long and there’s very little penalty to super gauge for teleportation + charged blasts. It lasts long enough for you to team wipe -> find their spawn -> spawn wipe in some maps. That’s too much lol

Bungo has no clue how to balance anything. Shotguns range and dmg is still broken and no sign of them being fixed. They buff the nightblade and now that Super is op and broken. Novawarp is too powerful and needs a small nerf or at least a few tweaks but knowing bungo they won't do it correctly and they will make it too weak. All the old supers need a buff in pvp at least. The old supers are still really good in pve but are totally useless in pvp now. Poor Titan. All the new Titan supers are total garbage in pvp. Almost no one uses the new Titan supers.

I have spent a decent amount of time on each class. hunters are by far the best because of their jump and dodge . nothing else is a big standout for hunters apart from their extremely good jump and decent dodge. their supers are balanced when compared to warlock supers however titan supers are inferior to both warlock and hunter supers. (If the hit detection on sentinel wasn't broken then it would be just as good as blade barrage and warp.)

I hate Nova Warp with a passion when not on my Warlock, but ever since they removed self-res, Warlocks have been the weakest class until warp. Everyone talking about dying twice to the same nova warp needs to realize the problem isn’t that it lasts too long. It lasts long because you’re highly susceptible to damage. Most warpers are gonna be low resilience to bump speed, which is the other reason it seems to last. 10 mobility will get you across the map quickly. The real problem, however, is that the maps are too small for 6v6. Case in point, a Stormcaller with high mobility can also kill you twice, just like an arcstrider with RF. Which brings me to my points. 1) DON’T NERF! Everyone will regret it later, though they won’t know enough to see it as the cause. Balancing Crucible is like tuning a stringed instrument - ALWAYS TUNE UP. Otherwise, the instrument will throw itself out of tune faster than you tuned it. Or... 2) At least give warlocks a raiden flux-type exotic that counteracts the nerf.
