So i just watched a video where you can get to 385 then use faction packages and skeleton keys just for the artifact that will push you to 400? If im 400 why would I even play the hard mode raid?
Heres the video explaining how to get to 400 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-oIxHnfk9w

Well, I just hit 400 without the Raid because I challenged myself to do it (done all of the previous Raids). I did it mainly through Crucible, but Archon and Strikes helped a bit. The grind is real. Note: I know I'm late, but I took like 3 months off and played the Division nonstop.
-
Yeah! Why would you even want to play this games best mode that let's you show off everything you've learned and has some of the most interesting co-op mechanics that take teamwork, skill, and maybe a little bit of luck to complete. What kind of an idiot would do that instead of doing strikes?
-
Then Destiny was broken before ROI since I got to 335 without raiding.

1 RespuestaEditado por ErrorSeven: 9/29/2016 11:30:48 AMIt's not broken just because Bungie decided to give everyone a fair chance to max out their Guardians. Not slowing anyone down just because of their play style. However, if you want certain things, you need to do the Raid, Crucible, Strikes, etc. Outbreak Prime, Gjallahorn and Thorn are great examples of what I'm talking about. To get Gjallahorn, you need to do the story. For Thorn, bounties. Outbreak Prime, Raid.

Editado por Guardian, Archon Of Light: 9/29/2016 11:24:41 AMThis has been true since the April Update But if you want raid gear and raid weapons, you have to raid, or order them from the gunsmith lol

Meh...I remember people crying out for methods to rank up other than Raids all the way back to Vault of Glass. So the Dev's gave it to them. Not sure what the big deal is. People who raid will say you're not a real 385/400 The people who do only Trials will say to the Raiders and the like, you're only a PvE 385/400 The people who got there from Strikes only....probably won't say anything, but they're probably happy The people who can do everything will just say Get good scrubs.

Back to this? It all started with those dam fake IB 30's.

2 RespuestasYou've been able to reach max light level for awhile now without raiding. Where have you been.

4 RespuestasEditado por 1-800-DIRT-NAP: 9/27/2016 9:07:55 PMWho the hell cares how you get there? I've never understood why people are jealous or complain that you must do the raid to be the highest light. Here's a tip: play the game how you want, fast, slow, pve, pvp, whatever makes your junk wiggle. We have the freedom to get max light how we choose/ or excel at. Don't concern yourself with how others got there, be happy there's more at max light! Its a craaazy concept I know!!! If you wanted to do it like these guys you would have farmed and hoarded engrams for weeks on end before ROI. So again, stop being concerned about it. Life is way funner when you are happy with yourself and not worried about others.

3 RespuestasPeople should be able to reach max light without raiding. The old way of only reaching max light through being lucky enough to have just the right drop from an activity you can only do once a week was nonsense. And just because you can hit max light without raiding doesn't invalidate the raid. If light level is the only reason you raid I pity you.
-
For the weapons, obviously. There are plenty of weapons I seriously want from the raid, namely the machine gun and pulse rifle.
-
387 from strike chests and exotics and packets 388 from nightfalls 390 the raid exotic pulse rifle
-
I see nothing wrong .. this is great for people who don't want to do raids.
-
There's no confirmation that this method takes you all the way to 400, but probably to 390 or something.
-
Do the the hard mode for the loot maybe?
-
Did you watch any of the Bungie interviews prior to release? Achieving max light level w/out raiding was one of the things they mentioned. It's a good thing. I have a group I can raid with but that doesn't go for a lot of other players.
-
i reached 335 barely doing the raid before roi. right now im 368 and havent done the raid at all. its perfectly fine to not having to do it
-
Sounds good to me. I'm not into doing raids because I'm not a hardcore player, and since I don't like Crucible that's the only way to increase my light level.
-
3 RespuestasWhy would anybody not want to do the raid.
-
GOOD! Raids may be end game but that doesnt mean a raid should be the only way to max out.
-
Good everyone can reach max light. Raiders can get an entire hard mood set with Ornaments. PvPers can get an entire ToO set with Ornaments. If a player objective is to reach max light and leave the game that's on them personally I like to get to a higher Light to get things done a little bit quicker. I'll be grinding to get my raid pulse so that's a goal I'll be working on and new events are on the way such as IB, Halloween, SRL and probably some other stuff coming soon not to mention Hard raid and challenge mood. All in all I like the current progression system and I'm a day 1 player.
-
You could reach max light after the April update just using exotic engrams. Who cares? That doesn't mean it's not a hell of a lot easier to do it through the raid which also drops some really sweet gear that you can't get elsewhere. Besides, raiding is not for everyone.
-
2 RespuestasYou get the light to do endgame.... You play endgame for the experience... Light is not the goal, it's the journey
-
If im 400 why would I even play the hard mode raid?
Maybe because it's fun?
-
That's how it's been since april. They don't want raiding to be the only way to get max light.
