Dear Bungie
I would like to kindly ask you to reduce the swearing in your game and remove the gore elements. My son has asked for me to purchase him the game but as the game is right now, I cannot do it. I noticed my son watching an online video from a sharing site today and i could see there is significant blood/gore. To me, that is more gore than there should be in a mature rated game.
A couple of years ago I bought my son Halo reach as he assured me it was similar to another shooting game that I was okay with him playing. Little did I know there was A LOT of swearing built into the game. I am okay with the A word, but the S and F words have NO place in video game, even a mature rated one. I ended up having to change the voice over language from English which wasn’t ideal as he couldn’t understand the non-swearing parts which he said were important. I have heard no word on if there is a reduction in the amount of swearing in Destiny, so at the moment I cannot purchase your game for my son.
I think if you reduce the swearing and remove gore it will be good for everyone. I don’t think the adults who play your game will mind and it will certainly be good for the kids.
Now I don’t claim to have any knowledge of video games, but I do know what is appropriate. I have been a member of my son’s school’s PTA (Parent Teacher Association) for almost 10 years and almost all of my fellow parents agree that video games these days are too violent. If one of your representatives would like to e-mail me, I will gladly provide my details.
Sincerely,
Cindy Myers

Your gamer tag is "egg boy 26" Cindy?
-
You sure killed a lot of people in the Crucible for someone who doesn't like violence.
-
Im going to be straight up honest, your child going to learn swear words sooner or later, whether from friends or strangers. You don't want gore, buy him a E rated game.
-
I believe your son was watching a different game, destiny is T rated. The only real swear is "hell", but even that is only said twice throughout the entire game and isn't that bad. There is also absolutely no gore. Honestly, the only T rated feature in destiny is violence, and that isn't at all as bad as most shooters.

1 RespuestaBuy him GTA5 it's a great game suited for kids
-
Forgot the tag "satire"

Editado por Moot: 2/7/2015 1:42:45 PMLol you're so protective and fragile. How sweet. Unless of course you're a troll, in which case, GG.
-
Well destiny is rated t and has no swearing and hardly any blood if you are referring to halo you should go to 343 as they are in charge of that now
-
It's rated T specifically because there isn't much violence compared to other games. And there is absolutely zero swearing in this game, you're hearing that from other players.
-
Troll called 'Egg Boy'. Bored.com
-
So you want a first person SHOOTER to not be violent? And swearing in destiny? Uhhh I think you're playing a different game. Tell your son to play dying light, last of us, gears of war, or heroin hero.
-
Idk what destiny you're playing but there isn't a single sight of blood or the slightest drop of a curse word in this game. More like lines such as "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain."

Editado por asucaris: 2/7/2015 1:19:06 PMI laughed at every sentence of this I think you should try to buy a more family friendly game like GTA 5.

Editado por qnCee: 2/7/2015 1:36:16 PMOMG grandma, who let you use the family computer?
-
I must have different version.
-
😂 this is nothing destiny has no cursing and no gore
-
If you are concerned you should stick with games that are not mature rated. Ratings are there for a reason so that mature adults can enjoy the content they enjoy and the little kids can play their Lego games.
-
Obvious troll is obvious
-
You can't ask a company to make a game more child friendly when it wasnt intended for children to play...
-
Dont buy him the game. Simple as that.
-
lol pls tell me this is just a joke
-
Are you kidding me right now? This has to be a troll.
-
Times have changed ma'am, my son is top of his class with a GPA of 4.0 and he has been playing video games with mature content for a couple of years
-
Destiny is rated "T" for a reason. There is no swearing, and no blood/gore.
-
Lol has a 29 and 31
