Am I a bad person because I dont want to have kids?
It seems like every time the topic of having kids comes up, im the only one who doesn't want to have any. When I tell people this, they usually have a strong reaction to my decision. They act like what I just said was an awful thing, and they're like "well why not?" What do you guys think? Is it really wrong for someone to not want to have babies?
Edit: Im amazed at how overwhelmingly supportive everyone is (although there have been a few trolls). Keep giving your opinions about this topic (favorable or unfavorable) because I think it's a relevant cultural issue that isn't discussed very often. Thanks everyone.

No. I don't want kids either. There are too many things I want to do and places I want to go, and that requires money. And if I have kids, then I won't be able to do that. I'll be working the rest of my life to keep other tiny human beings alive. No thanks! I'd rather be selfish and live my own life. (I'll prob go to a sperm bank a few times just to make sure my DNA gets passed on)

No. I don't want to have kids but I don't want to miss out on having the experience of having a kid before I die. So I'm going to have a kid, if that makes any sense lol.

I adore children. I'd be happy as can be if my wife told me she was pregnant. But, I enjoy having nice things more. Not to say that you can't have both, but we aren't in that place right now. Hopefully in the future.

I see nothing wrong with choosing not to have kids . I've never wanted any myself and have no desire ever to start lol

It's incredibly important to self-reflective on this topic. Most people can instinctively know and I believe a lot of people ignore their inner voice to the detriment of the children. I don't want kids. Maybe another five years may change my mind? But I doubt it. I'm an educator. I get enough youth adolescence in my life lol
