Sequel? I thought we were still playing the beta

Editado por MADENDADE45: 1/29/2015 3:40:52 PMI will. It made me appreciate video games again and displayed promise onwhat the future holds in gaming. It keeps me out the streets and from spending unnecessary money to have a little fun. I enjoy the game with my comrades and would love to continue the journey.

1 RespuestaNever. I have avoided this game since launch but I was given this for Christmas by my girlfriend (since when does Dragon Age sound like Destiny?). Grinding the few strikes and playing the few MP maps over and over again is soul destroying, add to that no matchmaking on raids (I still haven't done one after 3 weeks playing) and finally this week I can't do the heroic or nightfall because its all DLC. A didn't believe the hype for Destiny and I won't be falling for it in any sequels.

7 RespuestasEditado por Talidin1337: 1/29/2015 4:09:38 AMMy answer: YES Here's why: Destiny was a masterpiece, at least, before Activision cut a lot of the content out. What people fail miserably to understand is that Destiny never was a single edition game. From the start, Bungie wanted Destiny to become a 10 year franchise like they did with Halo, meaning that not only will a Destiny 2 come out, but also a Destiny 3, Destiny 4, Destiny 5, and at least two expansion packs between each full game release. If we, the players, do our job and give structured and mature Feedback, then the future of Destiny can only get better. Please, tell me, since when is the first edition of a game better than a later edition? Is GTA 1 better than GTA 5? Is Halo 1 better than Halo 3? Is the first Legend of Zelda game better than Twilight Princess? No, they are not, and that's the way it has always been for any game series, ever. Great things will come within Destiny. The longer this game exists, the more tweaks Bungie will be able to make, the better this game will get. As they listen to their valued audiences, and make decisions accordingly, I expect that bungie will create something so good that it blows everything else out of the water. But, when this greatness finally comes, who's going to enjoy it the most? The Guardians who have built their characters over the years and are ready for the awesomeness, or those frantically trying to catch up while they miss greatness? I have jumped onto the Destiny train, and I will ride it until it has reached it's destination, because I believe in a future where this game becomes great. But if it doesn't, and my expectations are never met, then you can bet I will never trust the name Bungie ever again.

Right now I'll tell myself no. When the time comes I'll probably give in and preorder. That's usually how it goes down.
-
-
I most likely will. After further research
-
Yes. It has some failings, the worst of which is the utterly incompetent way the DLC has been handled, but I have never played a game as addictive and generally great fun as this.

not right off the bat il wait for the reviews.... I swear after 2014 and all the bull crap us gamers had to endure Destiny, TMCC and online service just beein all around crap just to list a few Il never pre order anything again

1 RespuestaEditado por Mattpat139: 1/29/2015 1:07:08 PMGonna wait for reviews Never thought bungie could fail this bad.

Most likely not. So sad.

If Destiny continues like it has been than most certainly not, I haven't really played the game in almost a month. I've hopped on once or twice for no more than 20-30 minutes, remembered how garbage the rewards system is and how little there is to do... I honestly don't think Bungie/Activision expected Destiny to be super well received because the game is more of an experiment to see what works to keep people's interest while gating all of our progress. All of that so they can add micro transactions in the future. Destiny's sequel, or what some people are calling "Comet" should be better based on player feedback, we hope. I'm going to be very cautious before considering anything coming from Bungie again.
-
Nah. Ill be on Final Fantasy 15.

Not happening man. Bungievision (Bungie/Activision) is in full swing which means you'll start seeing pay to play or pay to win (making purchasable exotics/armors/ect) type crap. Don't believe me? Just look at any of the newer Activision games and it's all pay to play or pay to win style games or IAP's if you prefer (in app purchases). Another words it's all about the $$$$, not the gamers or their happiness with a product. It's basically them using human emotion (I gotta win syndrome) to pit us (the gamers) against each other causing a backdraft of incoming purchases and of course giving the producers fat cash in the process. Don't fall for the pay to play or play to win tactics. The only winner is the one making the loot off of the gamers struggling to be the best.

2 RespuestasYeah I'm not giving Bungie another dollar, not after all this shit.
-
I'll pass as well. I already bought edition with HoW and will watch when "comet" drops. But doubt I will buy comet. And I play Destiny on two systems (probably days worth time wise) and it's the only video game I've played last few months and I'm going to pass..... Wow. That's a hard pill for Bungie.
-
I wont pre order thats for sure. I say I'll wait for the reviews and if it's any good I'll get it
-
I will but I won't ever again if it's like the one we have now
-
In general I like the game, it certainly has potential, but as long as Activision are in on it and are obviously cutting content to the bone to squeeze as much money as they can out of it and as long as all the bugs and server issues exist I don't think I will buy the next one straight away, I would be more likely to wait and maybe rent it to see if it's going to be worth spending money on it

Editado por Nacht Bogen: 1/29/2015 10:39:09 AMSince I got the pass I will deal will HoW but in the future I will wait and look at reviews first but unfortunately the more dlc there is the more of a pay wall the game will become hiding nightfall weekly and xur from non dlc buyers for now it won't be so bad with so little dlc content in the loop but it will get worse
-
If it is better than this one and has everything that this doesn't but is still a good game then maybe
-
I'll wait to see what they do with the COMET if I'm still playing.
-
I 100% will
-
Suspect I will
