The 5 Stages of Owning the Necrochasm
[b]Denial:[/b] You think you may be misunderstanding the weapon. This is end game hard-mode content, surely it can't be that bad. You think: "maybe I just to practice with it some more. Maybe the problem is with me."
[b]Anger:[/b] You find yourself thinking: "THIS IS CRAP! All that grinding for this crappy weapon? What was Bungie thinking? Who designed this crap? Did anyone even test it!?"
[b]Bargaining:[/b] Maybe if you try some different settings and perk combinations ... maybe if you make a poll on the forums you can get Bungie to buff it. Hope is not lost.
[b]Depression:[/b] "What's the point? My thread hit page 3 in two minutes and all I got was 2 votes and a 'tl;dr'. I've wasted my life. I've sunk 512 hours on this game I can never get back, I could have walked on the beach, or learned piano. This gun is a monument to my hopeless addiction to Destiny."
[b]Acceptance:[/b] After a deep breath you put it in your vault. Maybe something better will come with House of Wolves. Either way, there's no use dwelling on it, the reset is just hours away, maybe the Nightfall will yield a nice surprise.

Worked well for me for the Nightfall/Heroic this week with Arc burn. Too situational to be THE end game raid weapon, but it's not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's an SMG - use it as such and you'll find it's decent. I think the hate comes not from its usefulness but from the fact that people expect the toughest gun in the game to be useful is far more situations.

The sad thing is the raid exotic or HoW is a shotgun... Don't get me wrong, I love the power of shotguns. But you would think it'd be some sort of primary instead

Now that people are getting the [i]Crux of Crota[/i] and leveling their [i]Eidolon Ally[/i] to the exotic [i]Necrochasm.[/i] I want to propose just a few "easy" ways to make it feel like the next [i]Vex Mythoclast.[/i] [b][u]In no particular order[/u][/b] * Change fire rate to 88 and impact to 8-10 * Cursed thrall explosion needs to be [b]100% on critical kills[/b] and maybe 25-75% on body kills. (As of right now firefly is better than Cursed Thrall) * Remove [b]Single Point Sling[/b] and add [b]Field Scout[/b] * Maybe change [b]Rangefinder[/b] with [b]Zen Moment[/b] or [b]Crowd Control[/b] * Up the attack from 339 to somewhere [b]around 354[/b] (That would make it 23 points higher, as Vex is to Vanilla weapons) * Change the [b]green bullets to blue to help show the Arc damage[/b] and somewhat separate from the previous 2 forms * Aesthetically it looks like a [i]Hive [/i]weapon, but there is such a small difference from the [i]Husk to Ally to Necrochasm[/i] I think [b]something needs to be done with optics, color or build, even the Murmur looks to similar. [/b] It doesn't feel unique when you get [i]Necrochasm[/i] like the [i]Vex Mythoclast[/i] did as we've been "using" it in some form for awhile It's supposed to be the [b]pinnacle of Exotics[/b] at this point in the game and as it stands it just takes up space in the Vault. I'd really like to see something done, so the weapon we've all been chasing since the release of TDB is everything and more than we could have imagined! Thoughts???

Meh, i agree. I ahave not had the game as long as some of you guys but i have put my fair share of hours in to both pvp and pve. I got the crux a few days ago and was hyped, took a day to finish my legendary off then bang i upgrade it and WOW !!! It really is terrible, i actually got the auto rifle from hard mode crota lastnight (last weapon i needed from there) andat 300/332 damage it hits harder than the necrochasm at 339 damage! Why oh why are some of the exotics so poor, i could name several that are out classed by legendary... exotics are supposed to be the best in the game so make them that way! For this reason i will never be a ''collector'' , whats the point in having all exotics and crying for vault space when you will never use half of them, seems like pointless grinding to me.

Shout the necrochasm looks awesome and it deals arc damage making it deadly for subjected fire on fallen also the explosion seems useful. Would play hard but I gotta update crota raid gear and get some for my Hunter.

15 RespuestasNa, gotta disagree with you there. The idea behind the Necrochasm is not to kill bosses or seriously hard to kill enemies. It is designed to clear the chaff really quickly so you can use your other 2 weapons for stronger enemies. No I do not have it but that is concept behind its intended use.
