In my opinion the number one reason people aren't finishing the Hard mode is due to the lack of heavy ammo people bring in with them. Some don't even bring in any and rely on rng for heavy drops. Crota won't go down, and the blame gets put on the sword bearer for messing up. When in fact Crota wasn't put down at all and ends up slicing an articulated cut into the brave hunter. That and all the bugs. Two middle fingers up to you bungie.

That and that a lot of people aren't coming in properly equipped. You really need to be running a health and / or a gun that regens your health.

Editado por Kell of Kellogs: 1/26/2015 9:01:41 PMHeavy ammo glitch every try

Editado por System: 1/26/2015 9:04:26 PMHonestly I've always found heavy on the ground and don't need to waste my glimmer on ammo. Before each wipe, I jump down to the middle and kill as many thralls as possible and most the time I get heavy ammo that way, or in the room before hand. So I don't see wth is all your problems in having heavy ammo... And on a side note, he enrages at 10%, you don't really need it until then. You only need a consistent dmg on crota so his shield doesn't regen. So putting 2 or 3 people with Prim, and the rest with Ice Breaker and you will get the shield down. But the key thing is consistent dmg, rockets just allow for faster drop and a possible 3 sword run. I always shoot 1 rocket and then back to prim for the consistent dmg so his shield doesn't regen when everyone else is reloading their rocket launchers thinking they need to shoot it a 2nd time. That time between reload is what -blam!-s shit up and he regens his shield.

We had major issues with glithching at the Bridge last night. Blue Knights keep regen health after they were drained to zero. You'd turn away after they died only to get swiped by a sword.

14 RespuestasEditado por dorothyprez: 1/26/2015 2:49:15 PMMy experience. Stoned randoms. I get it, I used to smoke, but I don't need your high dumbass talking about stupid shit and not paying attention to ruin my raid experience. Play sober, play with other stoners or get booted.

7 RespuestasI have no glimmer to buy heavy ammo. Xur never sells heavy ammo. How am I supposed to obtain this previous Ammo of the Heavy?
-
1 RespuestaLol... Here's the trick! Shoot off all your heavy ammo... Shoot off all primary ammo till you have about 2 - 3 mags left. Equip ice breaker. Summon crota and shoot of the rest of your primary ammo (make sure you have no primary before the glass walls come down. Switch to ice breaker and kill all the acolytes ASAP (you have 30 - 45 secs) before you auto pick up ammo. If you do this right you should get 1 heavy drop from every kill. Eventually the games pick up ammo for you. In total you shoulda have around 10 heavy ammo drops. Once all the heavy ammo has dropped switch to ghorn and pick some up. Return to original room during crota fight for more heavy! This glitch works anywhere but Pvp.
-
That, and everytime someone messes up they blame it on a glitch and go to orbit xD. People don't seem to realize the timer for the fight is connected to Crotas movement, and not the sword.
-
In all my runs, it is when Crota's shield magically does not go down when hit with 3 jelly horns one time, but then 2 do it the next time. 6 won't one time, et cetera! Oh, that and when he see's the invisible Hunter at randoms time!
-
Hunters make up for the lack of "heavy ammo" the perks are too good for Crota.
-
Haha, what about a bad fire team or swordbearer? I haven't beaten, but not from a lack of trying. I have a 31 hunter, 32 Titan, and a 32 warlock.
-
We kept getting him to a sliver of health, there was a lot of glitches like rockets sticking to Croats belly and not exploding.
-
I think OP is spot on
-
No it's because they get pissed off after 10 minutes you gotta keep going until you get it done not after the first wipe

6 RespuestasComposure and heavy ammo. Stop worrying, you can farm exclusion Zone/gatekeeper checkpoint. Keep a cool head, and don't trip. Number one killer in raids is the asshole yelling at people, like I do lol.
-
2 RespuestasI'm with you (not on the two middle fingers) but with not having heavy. If you don't have any, take an hour and go farm Exclusion Zone. 1 hr = at least 18,000 glimmer (25,000 if you can get 4 runs in with each resupply codes). Beat it twice yesterday and still had 15 to spare after only having 25 heavy synth to begin with. Better to be prepared than useless.

Editado por AGG Terabit: 1/26/2015 5:04:27 PMNumber one reason is it's hard, it took me 12 hours two nights ago to get a good group to actually do it

1 RespuestaI got grounded the week hardmode drop so I h am having other people do it for me
-
4 RespuestasI finished it with Warlock, at least with a sunsinger they can revive if they end up dying.
-
Heavy ammo doesn't necessarily matter. You can afford one or two people using maxed primaries to take down Crotas shield. It's communication that people don't have.
-
It's cuz your Swordbearer sucks. It's easy as shit if you have a good one.
-
My observations All weapons aren't 331 They dont have heavy ammo sys or usem. No tracking rocket launcher No gear that have regeneration health from orbs They dont have red death/ Suros. They dont have a 32 hunter as sword bearer Or the worst.... they dont listen.

15 RespuestasMy experience has been a shitty sword bearer. People claiming they're good with the sword and die 3 times during the first sword hits. Excuses I've encountered: "oh I hit crota a second time after I went invisible because I didn't realize I was invisible" or " come on guys take care of the boomers" and groups reply was "they didn't hit you because we clearly saw no boomer attacks and crotas sword cut you in half". Hopeful tonight's attempt will have a decent sword bearer
-
Three ghorns take him down. If three people have one thats two rockets a sword, three swords thats 6 six rockets and one from each person for the 3 sword bearers. You should only have to synth once, right after the ogres. If your teams have rockets its even less you just have to communicate who is shooting and how many shots.
-
We got him down to one sword seven times yesterday but it wasn't the team messing up the crota battle is too glitchy... He wouldn't go down when the whole team hit him with Ghorn shots..... Then ogres came and it was over...

1 RespuestaEditado por boon0052: 1/26/2015 12:46:56 PMSpent 8 hours on this raid total all week before finally beating it last night. The group i was with made it look ridiculously simple, took 3 quick trys. Why? 1. Everyone had lots of experience i.e. 5-10 hrs on hard. You will fail on this before you succeed. 2. Everyone shot a hell of a lot of rockets when ot was time. May have been overkill, but better to get a bit more dmg needed than less. 3. Center method for crota while doing ogres under a boomer tower. No need to worry about boomers and wizard this way. Most effective way, youtube it if you havent seen it. 4. Most important imo, skilled hunter swordbearer who uses invisibility. After 1 sword and getting crota down only twice he was half health. Hunter picks up sword, runs to side rocks, drops sword goes invisible, calls for crota to be shot then goes up while hes being shot to get max number of hits on him. When he stands up, drop sword and melee him to go invis again. It takes practice but don't lose hope, its doable with the right team and attitude. Good luck Guardians.
