I can't be the only one losing interest.
I know these types of posts get a lot of butthurt replies, but honestly after the hundreds of hours that you all put into this game are you not a little disappointed? I love playing this game, but I'm tired of it feeling like work. It's like everyday I'll get on and just sigh after I pick up my bounties and go back to orbit. Props to bungie for keeping my interest with so little to do, but I'm looking forward to the next big games.
Personally I think the majority of players will decrease significantly after HoW's drops. Many of us bought everything together and really have no choice but to play on. Personally I'll play HoW, do the raid and all that jazz, but after that I will not be preordering anything else from this game. What's the point? As of now I get more enjoyment from these forums than playing the actual game. Sorry if you peeps disagree.
Still crazy how much time I put into this game compared to others in the past.
Edit: I've really loved the replies. Glad I'm not the only one.

Oh yea, My buds and I log in on Tuesday to do the weekly and the nightfall. Then we check in on Friday to see what Xur has. You nailed it with your post. This game has so much potential, just doesn't deliver in the end.

I feelz ya, OP. More often than not, I'm finding myself logging out after doing bounties on one or two characters. Several of our group haven't played in days.

Ehh i like the game but the grind is now kinda getting to me. I have a lot of good guns im just tired of having to re upgrade them. Ive just kind of stepped back from the game and started playing other games. I will get back to destiny its just im takin a breather u might say.

3 RespuestasThe fun has left the game rather too soon, the grind is starting to get me down a bit and to be honest the latest raid has been a huge let down, where vog was fun and a challenge, crota has so far been users testing the cheese until they gave us the hard mode, which got beat in less than half an hour, says a lot. Why no matchmaking in nightfall or weekly, I guess bungie have a reason but its not to help out users

Yes the forums are a pretty entertaining, but the only thing that keeps me playing is the Nightfall's, Raid resets and Weekly Heroics. After that, on to something else. As for the HoWs, what i hope they do, and they should do it, is start all the new Raid gear at the current light of 36. That way you don't have to de-level before you increase your level. A 32 remains a 32 instead of falling to 30 or 31 so they can keep raiding and then further themselves to 35 or whatever.

Its kind of in cruising speed. I do mostly Crucible so its just like it would be in other shooters except there's less modes to choose from. I like the gameplay and every match is slightly different since you're playing with people. If I wasn't into pvp, I'd likely given up a long time ago though..

I was just talking about this with my buddies last night. Logging in every day for 4 months takes its toll on your sanity.

I agree with the sentiment of being bored with it once the raid rewards have all been attained...however, in terms of value for money....I do think it's good value. The ammout of time you're willing to put into the game is a testament to that. I've bought plenty of games in the past that have not delivered value for money.

I play once a week for the nightfall, the only reason I'm still playing is because I got the edition with the first 2 DLC.

Yeah I'm with you, I'm over it. I got what I wanted from crota, will help my guys get theirs, then I'm done raiding till HoW. Too repetitive, I'll just PvP it up I guess.

Yes i'm feeling the same way. 400+ hours in and completing every raid and strike in the game. Almost all 32s but im in no hurry to get my hunter to 32 because i've obtained almost everything from the hard crotas raid. Leveling armor/weapons with bounties is getting more and more boring. They should of added more to the hard crota raid.

Game is good but with just the Vanilla game im getting locked out of strikes and out-levelled. In a few months this will become unplayable

2 RespuestasThe thing is the devs, bungie, act, whoever, have the expansions carefully thought out, including stats on how quickly the majority of players, log on, run bounties, level armour, stop playing. Just as we start to feel the burn a new expansion is just around the corner. Personally the only way I feel anyone can get out of the hamsters wheel is by avoiding buying the exp all together and trying to ignore all marketing. Given the 'potential' of the game, the whole thing is difficult to drop.

1 RespuestaAll I was doing for the past 2 weeks was logging on, doing Crotas Bane bounties so I could hit 32, then logging off and watching Netflix. Now I'm 32, have absolutely zero desire to beat HM Crota because I'm burned out, and basically just don't want to play anymore.

1 RespuestaAt this point I find the game really boring as most of the guns just aren't worth pursuing through the raids and there just isn't anything to actually do in the game. On a happier note I have started playing through Borderlands 2 from scratch once again and loving it. I was hoping for a more Borderlands type experience with Destiny, whats in Destiny is fun for a short time but a total joke in comparison.

The only thing that kept me going was helping some of my friends level up. Also, I created a hunter and warlock just to pass the time. But after I reached 27 on my warlock, I found myself quickly losing interest. Three classes, never ending grinding, it all seemed pointless. Where is this going, I asked myself. Nowhere. So, I don't know. I'll probably stay away from this game for a week or two, and see if I can pick up the controller again. Unlike other gamers, I only have Destiny on my PS4. I'm very picky with games. I'm not a hardcore gamer. The last game I truly enjoyed was God of War on PS3. Anyway, I will be waiting for another game to waste hundreds of hours on and perhaps would be a little more rewarding.

1 RespuestaHave to agree. The only thing that kept this game alive was the fun combat. But that only goes so far. I mean I literally cannot name a feature in the game that is great other then the combat. And with so many games that have fun combat, and a good story, and good music, and missions, it's really hard to sit down and play destiny instead. I really liked the game, but at the same time it was the most disappointing game of the year for me. Would be the most disappointing game for me in the last five years but aliens colonial marines was a thing, soo lol

I've enjoyed the game and I love the mechanics but there is so little to do. I have like 6 ish weeks until HoW but I've got 3 level 32s and pretty much everything from CE. I'll still play it for fun but imagine the game shopping with 3 or more raids, with each one providing relevant gear and challenges Also was to make the story mission and strikes more worthwhile. Larger fireteam patrols and missions to suit. Modifiers you can put on etc So much could have made this game much better. It's not bad at all but it is lacking!

I got to that point last week. Just gonna log on to play nightfalls at a chance at Gjallarhorn and hawkmoon. The last two exotics I need. Gonna pick up dying light this week
