about DeeJ's icebreaker post
Seems a little odd doesn't it. Of all the weeks with Xür's inventory, this week is post worthy about a specific item.
Just a bit of suspicion about Xür being RNG or controlled. The context of the post kinda leans towards the latter in my opinion.
Thoughts?

2 RespuestasIt was worthy of a comment because the butthurt earners were frothing at the mouth more than usual this time (poor little things got themselves all excited by the 4chan post claiming Xur would never sell IB or jellyhorn again, Xur taking them lubelessly by surprise like that must have been extremely unpleasant) The one thing DeeJ CANNOT do, is come out and tell the earners that they're a bunch of idiots, that's a career ender for PR people. But he can be positive to the rest of the player base by coming over and contradicting them in no uncertain terms. That's what he was trying to do, reinforce for all the new players buying it (honestly most vets don't give the earner crowd a second thought, but new players could conceivably be influenced or scared away from the game by that kind of raging) that they did in fact earn it and deserve to have it and enjoy it (and by implication tell the earners that no, you are wrong, in the hopes at least some of them will look at the situation with an ounce of critical thinking and realize hey, Bungie says my way of thinking is wrong, maybe I need to re-evaluate my stance on this) Not that that would really do anything, the kind of closed minded gamer that it takes to end up in that mindset in the firstplace (for more than a few weeks anyway, coming to an understanding Bungie isn't WoW etc can take a little time and that's okay, it takes time to adjust to new ways of doing things, *if* a person is willing to adapt, sadly most are not) isn't going to do any such thing, as anyone with said critical thinking skills has already adapted and accepted that Bungie uses the term "exotic" to mean something different than a lot of other games.

The only context or evidence towards any suspicion of it being RNG or controlled is solely in your head. The post came long after xur was already selling it and he forums were flooded with whiney children. You can still see those post being made today.

Make sure you only use the highest quality tinfoil for your conspiracy disrupting hat. Anything less and Bungie/illuminati will be able to send you brainwashing signals and hatch more nefarious plots against the Destiny community.

His post was more aimed at the people who said "if you bought icebreaker from Xur, you didn't earn it". The amount of threads like that over the weekend was insane.

Honestly, I think it was in reference to all the pieces of shit out there who tried to make people feel bad for buying saying the need to "earn" it. When they only have it cause RNG blessed them. I think DeeJ was trying to say, hey if you got the coins buy it, that's why it's there.

If not RNG then they probably felt they had to respond to the post about IB and Ghorn no longer in xurs inventory, by selling the lesser of 2 evils since not everyone would believe them if they said the post was a lie

I don't think his post is indication of one or the other. Both before and after this weekend, there were tons of posts regarding Ice Breaker and "earning" it. The forum's been littered with such posts about it for days now. I think it's highly likely that's what prompted him to post that message.
