For months now, there's been a bug where any armor that increases your heavy ammo capacity causes you to lose precious heavy ammo every time you respawn. It's been unpatched for ages and is maddening.

They've of this glitch for a while I remember djee saying that. They just haven't done anything about it
-
2 RespuestasI hate what it does to a raid group. People get really mad when you have to wipe. Then they are reluctant to use heavy ammo synth. It hurts the fun, period. Bungie, it has been MONTHS. Fix this ridiculous problem.
-
1 RespuestaThey can't fix it because they cannot separate the lose heavy ammo from death from PVE and PVP. Being lazy Bungie devs like in Halo the ammo code is shared in PVE and PVP .
-
9 RespuestasWhen you die, you lose your Heavy Ammo. It's not a glitch, it's an incentive to not die.
-
OK has three titans, buff the bug
-
2 RespuestasI wish they would just fix the amount of heavy u can carry. My armor used to stack giving me 8 ghorn rockets . But after whatever patch it was my armor no longer stacks and I lose ammo for every cut scene an death.
-
Just don't die as much.😄
-
1 Respuestabungie will work on patching your ability to not die, i guarantee it
-
32 RespuestasI have said this on other topics that cry about losing ammo. There has to be a down fall to dieing thats part of the game so deal with it. If you dont want to lose ammo dont die its as simple as that.

2 RespuestasEditado por Hoots711: 1/12/2015 1:19:21 PMthey know... bungie has basically said its "too difficult" for them to correct. SMH... funny that they know about the error and add another raid boot with + heavy... It has gotten to the point of me taking off boots with + heavy even if it makes me a lower level when i know i need to use heavy.. edit... for those of you uninformed people who keep saying this is a penalty (which is beyond logic since it only happens with +heavy / +special gear, but i digress...) here is what bungie/deej has said on this forum and reddit.
We know about this and we're working on it. It may seem like a trivial fix with a simple solution from the outside looking in, but the reality is that this particular bug could create some very serious issues if it's not handled correctly. It's particularily pernicious and systemic from what I told, so the team wants to take time with it so as not to do more harm than good with a premature or untested solution. We know this is a frustrating bug and we know waiting for a fix isn't super fun. But it's going to be a while yet before we can address it with confidence. The team will keep you posted as/if/when they make progress.

As you have indicated in your original post, this is a known bug. I have no update on it's status. I'm sorry that you think we don't care. The fact of the matter is that I don't have any new information to provide at this time.

It's a known issue and one the team is actively working on. It may seem simple on its face, but unfortunately it's not an easy fix and most importantly one that has the potential to impact many critical systems if not handled with care. I understand that doesn't make it any less frustrating for you, but hopefully gives you some information as to why it's not something that can be fixed as quickly as we'd like.

Yeah. Known bug. Unsure of status. I see you leaving a lot of good feedback on this forum, though.
http://www.bungie.net/en-us/Forum/Post/78388645/0/0

1 RespuestaI always thought it was an intentional penalty for dying? I don't see a need to fix it.
-
1 RespuestaTo bungie admins
fix this or put it in the description of armor that has the perk. "Extra ammo is lost on death/respawn"
-
1 RespuestaI still sure that this is part of the destiny experience stay alive and keep you ammo simple, if not buy ammo packs lots of them
-
12 RespuestasIt's called a penalty. It does it with every type of ammo. Quit dying and you'll be fine.
-
I have two armor pieces equipped with the heavy ammo perk - if I go to orbit or die I lose twice as much - the downside of being able to carry more I guess - though having two pieces of armor with the perk doesn't let me carry more than if I just had one - I just like the setup so I make sacrifices.
-
The only thing that has made me not bothered by this as much as i used to is the fact that the ruin wings make heavy ammo fall from the sky like Mana from that jewish god.
-
Editado por Fossi: 1/12/2015 3:24:05 PMnote to all those noobs saying the solution it not to die: this not only happens if you die but everytime you span, like after each cutscene for example. before cutscene: 7 rockets -> cutscene -> after cutscene 5 rockets same happens when you are on patrol, got to orbit and back to patrol.
-
Problem solved. Per bungie. Stop dying noobs
-
2 RespuestasEditado por Final fantasy: 1/10/2015 4:39:57 PMPenalty for dying? please stop talking like you know boons. Playing crota's end raid. First stage. Crossover the bridge into the white light. Before the loading screen, i had 7 rockets. After the loading screen, i had 5 rockets. - Patrol on moon/earth/venus/mars. Used my heavy ammo synthesis which gave me 7 rockets. Went to the orbit and back to patrol. It changed from 7 to 5. - Doing any missions with cutscenes. 7 rockets before the cutscene. 5 rockets after the cutscene. - So stop saying it's a penalty for dying because it's not. This whole game is broken, and bungie doesn't give a sh*t. All they care about is fixing things that aren't broken. --edit-- About the gears that can carry more heavy ammo. Default = 5 rockets. 1 gear which can carry heavy ammo gives you 2 more rockets. 1 exotic which can carry heavy ammo also gives you 2 more rockets. Having both gears that gives you 4 extra rockets doesn't stack up.
-
Also not working ammo synths when the inventory is full are extremly annoying
-
You won't lose the ammo if you have the heavy item equipped. Not always going to be able to do this but it does help when you wipe the team and things like this.
-
1 RespuestaMaybe we should all get rid of our ghosts? Because no one is supposed to die? Ever? It's just part of the game I guess. I thought about not using the armamentarium because both heavy and special drop after cut scenes and orbit and death but I like the 2 grenades too much.
-
1 RespuestaDie less, baddy.
-
8 RespuestasDon't die and you won't lose ammo. Shut up and grind
-
1 RespuestaI hate when for example , doing bounties on earth and have 7 rockets , then you go to another planet an voila only 5 left
-
Damn I thought this was just something that happened. Like you died the penalty is losing heavy. Wasn't aware it was a bug lol.
