Good players don't complain about not getting exotics
Because they don't need them; it's precisely the reason they're good.
Edit: for example, don't you think it's much more challenging and rewarding (or at least would be) to beat a Nightfall using only non-exotic weapons? You could be the first in the world to if you did...
Edit2: a lot of people seem confused. This topic isn't about the loot system/endgame. It's about players' skill levels and using exotics as a crutch.

Seems you don't follow this forum very much as since exotics first hit the street there has been much discussion how a number of legendary weapons are superior to exotics.

Don't care. I have em all. Don't get your points either. The raid primaries with burns trump most exotic primaries and make night falls much easier. Quite often do nfs using just legendaries

I am fine with not getting exotics... what im not fine with is the crap loot system bungie decided to use.... anybody who has played ANY loot based game could have told them not to use this system. Im not okay with recieving a legendary engram from nightfall when i get a better reward from doing either daily heroic or ROC STRIKES, level 26 content is providing better loot than level 30 content with modifiers, i got 2 ascendant energy from that engram to pile on the 250 others wasting my preciously small vault space. I would be happy with motes of light or strange coind but really this system is just broken

Actually, I saw someone after a match who was top place with like over 50 kills. I said "Wow! What is that guy using." So I inspected the player and got a shock. He was in the beginner starter armor (the stuff your ghost gave you) and using a green revolver. No other equipment was carried. That was some real skill. My skills are terrible and I'm using an Exotic and Legendary armor. I'm curios if this guy started wearing the starter gear to prove how good he was or.... Maybe he always wore it to get his skills as good as they are. The lesson here is that superior skill will always trump equipment in the Crucible. Exotics are nice but will not make you a better player.

Exotics and Legendary weapons have the same stat lines and damage output The only difference is one perk that can only be a little helpful in certain situations. Doing a nightfall with 100% legionaries isn't any harder than doing them with two legionaries and one exotic.

Y'know, the really OP one that everyone uses to solo Crota's End? I've seen it used as a crutch plenty of times, and some of the guys on LFG demand that you have one before they'll raid with you (mainly because they're idiots)

2 RespuestasSo we should personally make the game more challenging? Why is there a level requirement for the nightfall then. I want the challenge of only being level 2 and taking down the nightfall. Oh and I can blindfold myself when I do it? A bit excessive I know. While I do agree about the non exotic complaints being high. When you are playing a high stakes game like the nightfall, you want to bring your best since isn't the nightfall designed to be such? Oh plus that you get nothing else for doing it a second time on a single character.

When the worst players in matches get awarded the best shit in game and the best player can go 30 matches without getting anything -_- Trust me, im sure those good players are pissed when they see 30 straight matches of no endgame match rolls and seeing probably 60 horrible players get guns they shouldnt be getting period, for their shitty cannon fodder performance. I have placed first an untold amount of times on all my characters and i cant count or care to remember how many horrible players get guns like hard light, suros, ghallahorn or even dragons breathe. Your argument sir, is invalid.

2 RespuestasMight could the first, but some exotics are "OP" (we all know the ones), so why not use them? Granted, I know this is more about complaining about not getting loot, which I don't have much of an issue with. I have amazing luck, and have dealt with far worse luck concerning RNG in other games than ANYONE playing this game has ever dealt with (this is not an exaggeration), so I don't fret over not immediately getting a new weapon or armor.

I've definitely beaten a nightfall with no exotic weapons... Or exotic armor (I think). But definitely with no exotic weapons.

No. What makes a gamer a "good player" is providing productive feedback, both positive and negative, to the developer that can aid in the development and production of a long-lasting game franchise. It's no secret but I'll state it here once more: The RNG system is bad. Very bad. It will get better, but not without our help. You can take your "good players" comment over to a CoD forum op.
