What will you do if House of Wolves DLC makes our gear/exotics obsolete AGAIN?
[b]TL:DR / Too thick to understand the concept of the toothfairy:[/b]
We need a better system in place for the next DLC rather than paying outright to purchase exotics from scratch again / making our previous legendaries not able to be upgraded also. Something that doesn't just make everyone feel they have to restart everything they did previously and losing that awesome feeling from playing
What is with people thinking this happens in every mmorpg let alone thinking others never played one?
Basically the same stupid system where you have to send more money to purchase a new exotic if Xur sells it, and makes all legendaries obsolete.
Girlfriend who had every exotic ingame (She loves to hoard stuff) quit because of this, little brother did too. Now I don't really have many friends on 360 and will probably buy a XB1.
But if House of Devils has this Shit system (ESPECIALLY MAKING YOU PAY 7 / 11.5K PER AS WELL AS COINS/SHARD) I would just quit and give up. Had enough of friends quitting from first repetition without reward and then this.
One of the first to preorder and get Ghost edition + 3 limited editions for friends because I thought we'd be playing this game for so long. Turns out got cheesed off the edge by one game studio I really loved.
Saddest thing about Destiny are all these Tryhard trolls who have nothing better to do than beat their partners and abuse everyone for the sake of getting all warm and fuzzy. Bungie.net used to be really nice especially when a lot more moderators used to be here because we didn't have to deal with personal attacks and PMSing/afk leeching thralls
Just want to play the game and have fun with friends

And it upsets me that the progress I did make on the Xbox One version is made moot because of this DLC. I don't want it to happen again after I've devoted time into the PS4 version.

The gear won't be obsolete, I wish I would have kept my raid gear instead of sharding it. The increased damage perks to oracles was a definite bonus and didn't realize how important it was till I played vog again recently. Put almost an entire magazine from my vision in to it just to kill one.. 3-4 shots with a fusion rifle that used to only take 2.. Learned from my mistakes and will be holding on to all raid gear from now on

The same thing I did with TDB. Laugh at Bungie and keep the five grand in my bank, companies listen to your wallet. Not your voice.

Grind and upgrade my gear like a good Destiny addict. At least I have something new to work towards without having to be reblessed by RNGeuses

I'm still curious on how the VOG weapons are obsolete? I still use all of mine and they perform wonderfully.

Same thing everyone else is going to do grind it out all over till my eyes bleed like an idiot lol hopefully I have moved on from this game by then to save me the grind and boredom

It will be obsolete, are you kidding me they will do it again. Just like when the game came out. You could hit 29 with tower gear, now you can be 31 with tower gear... Sane thing, and they will do it again we'll have to upgrade them again.

Play through the stroy missions (good gear or not) and see if it's worth playing Destiny. If it's the same amount of content that you can beat in like a day and there's nothing left to do but the raid and PVP, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not wasting cash on future content. =/

Yeah i think im done if they do that. I mean if a new system is implemented like radiant materials in HoW what do we do with all of the old material if the gear and weapons are underpowered. Wouldnt be an issue if ALL exotics could be upgraded. Like ones you can get from VoG.

I'll grind for that gear... Lol.. If I had everything in the game, there would be no reason to continue playing.. Upping levels and releasing new gear is what I look forward to!

I bought the season pass, if this stays the same, then that'll be the last penny Bungie get off me, people whinge about how other MMOs would make our exotics obselete, but there are 2 huge factors here, Destiny is not an MMO! And others wouldn't just release a handful of exotics, there would be pretty much, the same amount of new exotics released as in the vanilla game. Bungie aren't the developer that they used to be, maybe because most from Halo went to 343 and we all know the shit that Activision churn out year after year. If house of wolves is a disappointment, then as much fun as I've had in the game (Mainly down to the people I play with) that'll be me out before the first year is up on their 10 year plan. All these supporters of Bungie should realise they are only supporting a name now. Not the people who made them fanboys.

The new gear didn't telly ruin the game for me. I had been stuck at 29 for months and wasn't getting anywhere. I liked that there was new gear and weapons and sure it was a little inconvenient but I still play with my friends when I can and enjoy the game because I can play with friends. I wouldn't let the new gear making the old obsolete ruin it for you, plus when you reforge exotics, it really doesn't take long to get back to where you were.

The upgrade system had been fine I think. I've upgraded a few items, I've bought new 2.0 versions of weapons I had maxed out, I still use my fatebringer religiously in the new raid up till deathsinger. It's actually given a purpose to glimmer other than ammo synths and I have to go farm it on occasions because I actually run out. I'm not saying that there isn't room for some improvement in the new system, but overall it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Doing bounties on my characters and switching the gun I want to upgrade between then all usually gets it closer to maxed out. Armor is a little slower but still not that bad.

Probably still play the game..... Who gives a -blam!- if your gear resets. Would you rather use the same gear every DLC patch or work to get upgraded versions with more armor/light/attack?

New armor will come out that will replace the current armor. I'm fine with that and I'm fine with having to upgrade the new armor. What I'm not ok with is reupgrading and reupgrading and reupgrading the same gear over and over.

19 Respuestasdude bungie is trying to set us back, getting lvl 32 raid gear is useless since we ll get lvl 33 tower gear at new dlc, they made us waste our exotic shards-marks and implimented comedations so what we have worked for will be for nothing i would advise you dont try to get lvl 32 and you dont play for 4 days prior to new dlc release so you dont fall in to any trap that makes you waste all your marks/upg matts/coins/mottes/etc bungie has 0 respect about how much effort you put into the game meanwhile i ll enjoy pvp and playing with friends, i ll cheese crota until they patch him and wait for when i can get that lvl 33 tower gear its a nice game,if you can bring yourself to become a casual
