What will you do if House of Wolves DLC makes our gear/exotics obsolete AGAIN?
[b]TL:DR / Too thick to understand the concept of the toothfairy:[/b]
We need a better system in place for the next DLC rather than paying outright to purchase exotics from scratch again / making our previous legendaries not able to be upgraded also. Something that doesn't just make everyone feel they have to restart everything they did previously and losing that awesome feeling from playing
What is with people thinking this happens in every mmorpg let alone thinking others never played one?
Basically the same stupid system where you have to send more money to purchase a new exotic if Xur sells it, and makes all legendaries obsolete.
Girlfriend who had every exotic ingame (She loves to hoard stuff) quit because of this, little brother did too. Now I don't really have many friends on 360 and will probably buy a XB1.
But if House of Devils has this Shit system (ESPECIALLY MAKING YOU PAY 7 / 11.5K PER AS WELL AS COINS/SHARD) I would just quit and give up. Had enough of friends quitting from first repetition without reward and then this.
One of the first to preorder and get Ghost edition + 3 limited editions for friends because I thought we'd be playing this game for so long. Turns out got cheesed off the edge by one game studio I really loved.
Saddest thing about Destiny are all these Tryhard trolls who have nothing better to do than beat their partners and abuse everyone for the sake of getting all warm and fuzzy. Bungie.net used to be really nice especially when a lot more moderators used to be here because we didn't have to deal with personal attacks and PMSing/afk leeching thralls
Just want to play the game and have fun with friends

2 RespuestasYou must have never played any RPGs ever. This always happen when new content drops the new stuff is always better than the old stuff. People like you need to play other types of games besides FPS so u know what to expect from RPG type games. Otherwise you just sound dumb for wanting the old crap to be just as good as the new stuff. If that were the case then there would be no reason for new stuff to come out.

If Bungie decides to follow the same path to upgrading your weapons & armor then I'll be quitting when the House of Wolves DLC comes out. Destiny is becoming a time-waster, especially if I have to re-grind for new Tower Gear that makes all of my old Raid Gear obsolete. I won't spend another hour trying to re-upgrade ALL of the MANY exotics that I already have. I'd rather just get hooked on another game, & probably only play Destiny when I want to shoot other players in PvP, because unlike most, I actually enjoy it. I'm sure the new weapons/armor, raid, & strikes will be awesome, but if Bungie FORCES my progress to be slowed so even a new player who buys the game can be on my level within a week then I'm done. I don't really feel like I'm progressing in the game. I don't feel more Legend than other Guardians even though I have a weapons/armor that they don't. I don't feel like I'm a major anything to the Destiny world, & I feel like I've been putting a lot of hours in for no reason. It's not benefiting my Guardians whatsoever. Hopefully Bungie learns from their mistakes. I know they are a business, & businesses need to make money. But I miss when game developers were in their studios making the game THEY wanted to make, knowing their player base would love it just as much as they enjoyed making it for us. I still have faith in you, Bungie. Please, don't let me down. Sincerely, Just a Guardian.

That is what will happen, imagine if you just kept adding upgrade nodes to the exotics, when u get a fresh one it would be ridiculous to upgrade the whole thing and there would be no point in doing the new content of the old gear was equal to it

Its a MMO every expac your gear will become obsolete and you will need to obtain the new raid teir gear or whats the point of doing the new raid? Been happening this way in WoW for 10 years now.

[b]It will make your gear/exotic obsolete[/b] How is that hard to understand or to fathom? Did you keep all the old gear from any RPG game when you first started all the way up to the final boss? Did you turn your face up into a mean scowl when you found the ebony bow in Skyrim and vowed to never give up your wooden bow? Seriously...this game is about grinding and leveling. Raid gear now extends only to a certain level, once HOW comes out, the light will extend. And your raid gear will be obsolete. Deal with it. The argument is so pessimistic

I really dont mind aboit upgrading exotic gear, what i really hate is PLEASE DONT PUT LEVEL 32 GEAR FOR SALE FOR -blam!-S SAKE!!!!!!!!! Like everyone who spent all their time earning their VoG gear just got -blam!-ed by Bungie by making crucible gear level you up to 31. Thats what really bothers me. If they make the same mistake AGAIN, you will lose YET another player.

In reality they should release more guns than they do and make the ones we have irrelevant, that is how real RPGs and mmos work. The system that Diablo uses is the best particularly Diablo 2

Editado por Tuxx: 12/30/2014 7:30:03 AMThis is just what happens in games like this. Its not like your weapons will be entirely useless though, people still use fatebringer and vision in crucible and Crotas End. It doesn't really take that long to upgrade an exotic, even if you play casually.

If they make are gear obsolete again I will be thankful for them giving me the chance to use new stuff now quit crying because you can't use your op ass suros all the time. -blam!- tard go away.

I'm only upgrading 1 exotic per class, so nothing, my exotic collection will continue to be useless in future expansions because I refuse to upgrade 90% of it.

It is to be expected that they would have to relevel them. If the new raids get higher in levels and we don't have the option to upgrade again, then our exotics would really be obsolete. Harder raid requires stronger gear.
