So, in light of my recent struggle to find players willing to actually help me begin the raid(VoG) for the first time, to no avail, because no one wants to take time out of doing the exact same thing they've done for the past 3 months to help me out, so I've just wondering who in the community, actually likes to find threads and players who are genuinely struggling, and need your help, especially the low level raiders, as all I ever see when people are hosting raids is, level 28+ only or level 30's only etc.
Now I understand some people obviously want to maximise their survival rate and get through the raid as fast as possible, but there appears to be a disturbing absence in people willing to help.
So someone like me, who is a level 26 warlock, and thanks to the new DLC, which requires the commendations etc, now have to invest way more time just to get to a level acceptable for those to take me into a raid...
So are you a helper?
Or are you someone who doesn't even acknowledge the newbies in this community and take them under your wing?
I don't want this forum to spawn tons of arguments, I understand everyone has their own opinions etc, but let's just keep this civil guys. :)
Edit: The 2nd poll answer is supposed to say Noobs not "noons" stupid autocorrect haha

1 RespuestaI'll help when I can. I'll leave the area if people are kill stealing. I'll kill the group of mobs to force a re spawn. I'll kill just what I need if someone's around. Levels 28+ on late, running around-are farming, point out materials. This is also helping as far as I'm concerned, maybe the question is are you a considerate player or not.

I don't want to sound like a dick here. There is no point in you doing the vault if you are trying to level up. The VOG gear only goes to level 30. The vendor gear at the tower is 31. You should spend your time leveling your vanguard up to buy the new gear. The VOG and the New vanguard will take the same amount of materials and XP so why not just cut out the middle man. However, if you are just looking to do the vault for something to do then by all means go ahead and do the vault. You stated the time aspect of things. The gloves and boots don't require commendations so you can just buy those right now. Those are light 33 a piece.

I've only completed the vog twice but I would be more then happy to help you because when I was 26 and my Titan just got carried through at 26 last week so I will be more then happy to pass the favor
-
I generally like to help but this week is kinda off limits for helping since it's taking forever to organize a competent raid team to complete crota. I have all 3 characters at crota checkpoint but only at level 30 so I need to grind to get to 31 to make myself more viable. Instead of relying on others u could take matters it our own hands and work for the vanguard/crucible gear and get to 31 on ur own
-
I actually helped 2 people that had never done the raid yesterday, a 26 hunter and a 28 warlock, they followed instructions and we just flew through the Vog relatively easy.

3 RespuestasAll for helping, but what I don't get is why don't you help yourself first? Meaning, with vendor gear pre DLC capable of getting you to 29 and new vendor gear able to get you to 31, what is the reason you are not at least 29 or 31? I don't understand when people want to do raid right at 26. I understand the raids minimum level is 26, but it's easier and more efficient to get 29 and go into VOG the first time (at least 28). In no way am I saying this is you. To me, when someone wants to go in the raid at 25 or 26 blindly inviting or messaging a 28+ group formation on LFG pages, it makes me think all they want is to be carried and don't want to put in the effort.

Ran a VoG normal with a team of half noobs(never done it). Took about 2.5 hours. Only wanted to give about an hour so I wasn't happy, but was still fun so we kept at it. As long as your willing to listen and not screw around, I help all day long
-
Lots of us on a forum www.oldnrubbish.co.uk its a PS4 forum but more than happy to help anyone, think 1 of the guys ran 9 raids last week helping people
-
Start doing bounties to level up vanguard and crucible, and get enough marks to buy the gear you need. Level 31, there you go
-
Your "No" option is extremely biased.
-
Willing to help but that said, you hve to have enough higher up players to offset the guy you're helping through
-
8 RespuestasIt means a lot for those of you who are offering to help me, I'm on xbox 360 though I'm afraid, but thanks anyway guys:-)

Editado por Prime: 12/11/2014 2:36:54 PMYou know there's an entire website dedicated to helping people find each other for raids, regardless of experience. DestinyLFG.net Edits: Weekly/Nightfall strikes and even dailies as well.

Buy the boots and arms, they don't require the commendation, and they can hold 33 light each, which will help to lvl up
-
The best part of the game is playing with other people. I enjoy helping out. I especially like coming across a group trying to get into the vault. I love joining the fray and getting those doors open with them.
-
Dude if your on ps4 hit me up I'll help
-
I'll help people provided they are properly geared. The reason they ask for 28 plus is because by the end of the raid thats what level the enemies are---a level 26 will be of little use by that point. I learned this lesson yesterday, when I went into CE as a 30 and some other 30s and 29s and we couldn't even get past the bridge stage (but also the people I raided with have no sense of awareness or strategy)

6 RespuestasAlways willing to help others if they are actually willing to help themselves of course. Now Lvl 26 is pretty low, not impossible but never the less low. It could potentially take a number of attempts to get through the raid at that level, unless you are lucky enough to land in a group of lvl 29-30 players and then its a case of not any one person agreeing to take you through its actually 5 players all agreeing and there lies another potential block on you playing the raid. So if you managed to get on board a raid and it proves time consuming, plenty of deaths/wipes etc etc why not spend that time leveling yourself up more firsts, its not difficult, just a grind and we all had to grind and so what makes you different from doing that? Summary for me is, get yourself to at least lvl 28 its not hard to do and perhaps you will have a better chance of getting on the raid and YOU yourself would enjoy the raid far more...
