Well. Now time to bust your balls and hit 32. Good luck.
-
All of my new armor tops out at 33. I got a chest piece today when I got my rank package from the Cryptarch. I have been playing since the beginning and doing the VOG on 3 characters and only ever got 2 pieces of raid gear period. I was just never lucky enough to get armor. So I am happy that I can finally get to 30. I have been stuck at 29. Hitting 30 required more luck than skill for some (I am referring to the people who got carried by higher ranked friends).
Wow! I have defended this game to the hilt in recent times but discovering that the new purchasable armour is lvl 31 is a joke! I'd be fine with 30 so it's fair on the people like me who busted my balls to get lvl 30 in the first place. After being lvl 30 for a while I will now come home from work to find casual gamers with better equipment than me, at least I thought my lvl 30 gear would be useful for a little while but you've just made it totally redundant! Cannot believe I just wanted money on this, be lucky if I'm still playing this game come Christmas. Bravo Bungie you've really outdone yourself this time. Edit: how come I'm the cry baby for voicing a opinion on a forum for opinions when people reduce to snide comments, poor language and insults because I said something about there precious GAME they didn't like? I'm the childish one? Edit: ok forums are a waste of time, I've maid positive posts about this game before and had next to no reply, I complain for the first time and bam! look at you all!? I never said I was hardcore and by casual gamers I meant people who might pick up the game once or twice a week. I run a animal sanctuary I have two little girls a mortgage and I struggle to get time to play the game, I feel the time I've put in is now ultimately negated by the way better armour is readily available on the first day of dlc Edit: it's ok keyboard warrior's!! Vent you're frustrations on me I'm an adult and can take it. Edit: this post has gotten way more reaction than I thought it would, I physically can't keep up with all the posts to reply, I hope you all have fun posting your opinions or arguing with keyboard warrior's lol of which there seems to be a lot. I have always stuck up for Destiny but like you all I have invested a lot of time and money into something that I'm disappointed with so I'm entitled to complain if I wish, NONE of you are forced to reply or post so why go out of the way to insult someone is beyond me but to those that put positive, critical, communicative worth while posts I thank you, first time I ever had a decent response on these forums and it's no coincidence that it's the first time I complained, unfortunately it makes it pretty sad. Bye everyone happy hunting!
Perfectly put.. I fully agree.. I should a saved.myoney and benefitted with the rest of the casuals

I understand your issue with all of this but it's really bungie testing out an MMO mechanic. No matter what you get and what you wear, there will be something better eventually to make you stronger.

7 RespuestasEditado por Bloody Str1ker: 12/9/2014 7:43:56 PMI understand your frustration. It does make it feel like all the time put in the normal and hard raids, then the grind to level that gear up are all for naught. It is like a slap in the face. However, the playing field was leveled and the stakes raised by the new content. Bungie is finding a way, though completely artificially, to extend the life of the game by essentially resetting EVERYONE. That is what this amounts to. I don't think they realized they would tick off a good portion of their community by making their hard fought raid gear worthless. Well, its not entirely worthless. At least you only have to start replacing pieces with either new raid gear or grind for more tower gear to get to 31.(that was all said in a satire tone). Unfortunately, there is nothing you and I can do about it to stop them from doing this again at the next DLC. They know full well their player base will stay strong and keep taking the punishment because they are hooked on this game. I already purchased the bundle long before this DLC was even known. So I have to come along for the ride. The only options you have now are to either play the grind all over, or trade this game in and play something else, or let it collect dust for a bit and see if you can resist the urge to grind again. And NONE of those options seem appealing. I feel your pain.

30 is the new level 28... soon no one will want to do the raid or nightfall if you are not a 32... 31 in this case... hahahaha!
-
i understand the frustration... I don't get as much playing time as i wish i could. But i do enjoy this game quite a lot actually. I don't have a group of friends I play with.. most of them play other games and i'm literally the only one who really likes and enjoys playing destiny.. I wish i could join a clan and be reliable but my work hours are 8-5. family time, dinner time, grading, exercise, and hopefully some playing time to myself for about an hour or two a night with more hours during the weekend. I'm very proud of my 29 titan. but i get why people are pretty upset about venders selling armor that is better than mine it sucks. but its not like they can jump into anything after the dark below because sure they'll have the beginning but unless they fork over $20 to pay for the rest of the game, they can' t do much...

You're bad and you should feel bad.

2 RespuestasMate the cap is level 36 u twat 😂

I'm not sure what this trend is with edits and commenting about how many comments your getting. I haven't seen this on any other forums. Anyone?
-
1 RespuestaMaybe take the "!?!?!?" out of the title. That makes it read as though you're screaming or yelling, which on the internet is viewed or labeled crying. I bought gear. And why not? More survivability, sounds like a good thing for those that raid.
-
To balance all the hate: I totally agree with you. I never got to 30 due to family and work responsibilities, but I'd be pissed if I did and this happened. In fact it takes away the motivation to try in future
-
You do realize that the vendor sold gear that could be leveled to 29 before the update, right? That's literally the same thing as selling 31 level gear while the max is 32.
-
22 RespuestasGuys, he's kinda right. Because vendors now supply level 31 gear and better weapons, there is literally no point in the Vault of Glass. Unless you want the "experience" I guess, but then you would be disappointed when you left the raid with underpowered gear.
-
All that work all wasted. How about making a few extra light levels like to 34 and make this new armor even harder to get
-
Well, they did it so that you can do Crota's End without needing to farm VoG for gear...
-
2 RespuestasDude chill. 31 is the new 29.
-
It's actually a big help since the enemies we face in the raid are lvl 32 But keep being a bitch thats cool
-
26 RespuestasHow does somebody buying level 31 armor hurt you? Is there some unseen competition I don't know about?
-
6 RespuestasIt will take people weeks to get full tower gear cause of the commendations and you still need radiant materials to max it out which as of right now, you get primarily from the new raid. So people are only going to be able to hit like 28 or 29 with that gear. Will take even longer to get the necessary mats to max it out.
-
No worries brother. It seems like you can't voice your opinion without backlash. Good ideas are not welcome here. Even if I disagree with someone I will honor their opinion. I hate shut up meg, this account has not played destiny, trolls, just because I have a different opinion I also hate the term casuals, or entitled. These forums leave a bad taste in my mouth, but the game is great!

Welcome to the grind

I agree that 31 is high, but don't lose your shit over it. You know how these boards can get...
-
1) I highly doubt that someone will be able to get 4 faction levels over the course of a few hours. Possible if they had bounties ready on 3 characters, swap over commendations to one guy, buy full set, level up. That's a lot of work to accomplish in a short time, imo they deserve to be a 31 at this point. 2) Being a 30 pre-DLC provided the benefit of making you raid ready day 1. You should be going into the raid with a full set of 300 ATK elemental primaries and various other legendary / exotic pieces. 3) Those that are not as skilled at the game should be provided with a way to obtain a higher level than the normal raid. Some people will not run the raid until over leveled. 4) If your ultimate goal is to reach lvl 32, this should not factor into your specific plans at all. In a month you'll think of it the same was as the lvl 29 stuff available previously. Overall, I think a majority of people are just salty that they're now on the same level as everyone else despite all their work pre-DLC. I think they should have provided additional rewards / incentives for reaching lvl 30 or maxing out an exotic before the DLC but I'm not losing any sleep over it.
-
You cant beat the raid without having at least 1 lvl 31...so no, its not bad, now stop bitching
-
If you are crying about level and other people having it, do everyone a favor when elder scrolls online comes out don't buy it
