I can't be the only who finds that strange, can I??
*edit*
Consensus seems to be that we need to push the cell off the cliff into the blue lava instead of releasing him, because the Archon Priest had a shotgun enema before he was captured. Also, jumbo colonoscopy if his gun misfires.
*Edit 2*
Angus109 - " He was most probably cheesed into it by DoT grenades"
*Edit 3*
For all those saying it isn't his actual cell need to play the strike again. Dinklebot specifically says" it's a cell, from the prison of elders. The Archon Priest is still inside" as soon as you enter the area where the cell is.

2 RespuestasHe might have said it was a pleasure tool ;)

Videogame prisons are notoriously shitty. They probably decided to just cut out the easily distracted guard and pile o'gear sitting right next to your cell and just go to the next most logical step and let him keep his gun.

2 RespuestasOur skeleton gets turned in to a living, breathing and partially equipped Guardian by a circular iPod to defend a ball and this is the question you want answered?!

When Ghosts asks if a good idea, I always think that a good idea would be to destroy the capsule with him in it...

Because it's no fun completing an object unless there's a chance to lose

Every time I fight him, I ask this question.

2 RespuestasIts a soul restorer not a CELL...

2 RespuestasTheory: Servitors are worshiped because they provide ether to the Fallen, whether this is food, or air, or blood. Anyway, when Aksor was found originally, they killed Simiks Prime (grimoire) and then were able to "kill" Aksor. His soul is really the essence of all Fallen: ether. Because he was dead, they tossed his whole body into the chamber including guns and armor (cause he was dead). The Fallen broke him out, found a way to restore his ether, and voila. The Reef probably had no idea they could be brought back to life.

You need to understand the temporal issues, thus continuity issues with MMO's. You can't kill the same boss for different reasons, and still have a cohesive story. People need to take this into account with MMOs. It's just a poor medium for story telling unless of course you already have a rich lore to begin with for example World of Warcraft

I like to pretend that all of the crates in front of him have a gun for him to grab.

40 RespuestasEditado por Penhalion Wolfe: 12/8/2014 12:58:01 PMThe example of how screwed Bungies story telling has become. Release Archon Priest to kill him, when he is A. Already in a cell and B. We cleared the area of enemies and could simply have transmatted the cell back to the prison of eldars.... Kill Valus the Cabal leader by entering his stationary land tank instead of using our armed to the hilt figters to simply blow it the hell up from orbit Go down into the nexus, activate it THEN blow it up....um really because I'm sure I could have just blown it up before it activated... I suspect that "Guardian Down!" is actually your ghost expressing how depressed we look after realising the crap we are forced to do because common sense doesn't exist in the Bungie universe. Edit: The odd thing is that making the missions make sense wouldn't have needed to alter them much at all. For example. Have the Archon priest battle consist of holding back the Fallen while your teams combined ghosts prep the cell for transmat (much like a harder version of the warsat public event). The Valus strike would have been a great opportunity to have a gameplay change up, where you are planting charges on and around the tank (there's no ship combat yet sadly). The nexus strike could simply have you trying to destroy it before it energised and activated. Praetorians and other Vex teleporting in to try to stop you. Culminating in the nexus blowing up BEFORE it was able to activate. The key is to stop treating your audience like they are 6 years old and can't work out what would be a common sense solution to an issue. No-one and I mean no-one who is vaguely sane would choose the suicide mission option over the fighting chance solution.

The same reason the robots have boobs? e.g. the Stranger.

He uses his a gun as a nightlight/teddybear.

The queen locked him in there with a gun to use him as a test for guardians to prove their worth

You are right. As easy as doing this:
-
In all seriousness, the guy can teleport. It isn't unreasonable that he can summon his gun when he needs it.

4 RespuestasThe Fallen were resurrecting Aksor. One of them briefly opened the door, said "Here, take this," threw in a shotgun, and closed it again.
-
He was a trophy for the queen. His soul was removed so his body was lifeless up until the Fallen came and restored his soul. Dinklebot is talking all about it during the leadup to the boss fight. Once his soul is restored the options to kill him and ensure his death is to fight him.
-
7 RespuestasFirst, that wasn't his cell. Why? Because it has guns on it and a fallen'ish design. It's a chamber to recover his soul.
-
Clearly he lubed the shotgun up, introduced it to his brown eye, ate some Ether Supplements once he got to Venus, and 30-60 minutes later was reunited with said shotgun.
-
Yea, never could understand that... A simple push would have taken care of him instead of releasing him.

is like the ghostbusters trap. sucks em in and traps them as is.
