Give us back Randal The Vandel
As many players are aware, there exists a mighty terror on the Forgotten Shore, a terrifying Fallen of incredible power and strength. After many players found themselves outmatched by this paragon of Fallen supremacy, Bungie appears to have removed him in the latest 1.0.3 patch. He's been there since open beta and reportedly even earlier, a randomly occurring Fallen Vandel toting a shotgun and so many health points he could probably load them into a sack and beat you to death with it. Players would hit him with multiple super attacks and be flabbergasted to see a nearly full health bar.
Randal deserves better than to have been patched away.
Bungie, put Randal back right where he belongs, defending that cave and Fallen pride like a superhero. That legend has probably killed more Guardians than any other normal spawn in Russia. If any Fallen had earned a Captainship a thousand times over it is Randal. You have level 18 Hive 300 feet from the starting spawn in your starting area, certainly Randal could not have been causing more trouble than that.
This is the sort of thing that gives your game character and gives players a story to tell themselves, when level 30 Guardians find a level 5 Vandel giving them the fight of their lives. Randal was a breath of fresh air.

Randal could probably not only solo Atheon but also Crota despite the oversoul. Truly Randal is one not to messed with.

8 RespuestasI remember my first run in with Randal. I was playing my Titan, only 18 at the time. I was exploring the wreckage of the Hive Seeder in the Rocketyards (on the path to the Devil's Lair) were I came across the terrifying level 20 Hive. The wizards bombarded me with their arc blasts, and the thralls attempted to rip my flesh from my bones, but I fought my way bravely forward and out through the tunnels. I easily smashed the two Dregs guarding the archway to the Forgotten Shore and proceeded to march on, feeling prideful of my success against the fearsome enemies I faced. There he was. The lonely, yellow-bar Vandal that I had defeated many times before in my previous adventures. I altered my path and began sprinting toward the Fallen target, lowering my shoulder in preparation of a thunderous charge. Eyes wide, the vandal stood frozen in shock, taking in the fearsome Titan that was bearing down on him with the strength and speed of a herd of raging bulls... Or so I thought. BOOM! I raised my head, expecting to watch the electrified reamins of the Vandal floating off before they disintegrated completely. Instead I was met with two pairs of furious blue eyes and the red-hot barrel of a primed Shrapnel Launcher. "Uh-oh" BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! "Guardian Down" -lol I spent a good 15 minutes trying to kill that bastard. Dodging and weaving his shots, taking cover behind his boulder when I had to reload (which was a lot, by the way) Let's just say Randal doesn't bother trying to fix a bowl of Wheaties for breakfast. Oh no. He just stands outside his cave waiting for unsuspecting Guardians to feed him some bullets.

I want the vanilla level 28 Celebrant of Oryx back too. That was the hardest, highest level enemy in the entire game outside raids until The Dark Below dropped and it was reduced to level 18.

Randel is still there, but he's very selective to come outside, he hates sunlight ;)
