When playing through the raid with people you aren't familiar with, it's sometimes hard to tell who should pick up the relic. Obviously the person to pick it up should be the one who is most competent with it.
A friend of mine came up with this method of figuring out who picks it up:
Be honest with yourself and how good you are with it. Then rank yourself Expert, Decent, Needs Improvement
Expert is a "one second" relic user
Decent is a "two seconds"
and Needs Improvement a "three seconds"
After some experience, the team leader can assign these rankings to players in the team.
What this means is that when you get teleported, if you are a one-second relic user, you pick it up within the first second of teleporting. A two-second relic user waits two seconds, and a three second relic user waits three seconds.
One of the best things we did to make the Aetheon battle go much more smoothly was to establish a ranked order on who should pick up the relic so that we aren't deciding last second during each teleport.

Good strategy

Very intelligent. So many times the teleport teams standing around saying. "I'm not taking it" then blam

nice method I run with if I have to I will doit

We did something similar. We each gave ourselves a number. 1 being the most comfortable and 6 the least. So when we'd be transported everyone would say their number and highest number takes the relic, or if you're number 1, in this case it was me, you just take it automatically. Made it real easy.

I really like that system. I have a regular raid group and will suggest it. I am definitely number 6 hah.

Glad you guys like that strategy! Hope it helps everyone that wishes to use it.

^ great strategy going to try this out. eliminate the tantrums of players who believe themselves superior.
