I've heard a lot of people saying that Destiny is a huge disappointment while others saying it's a fairly good game. What do you all think?

1 RespuestaIt's like going to the Team Fortress forums and asking if TF is any good.
-
its fun but so is banging my head against the wall.
-
It's a humorless Borderlands.
-
1 RespuestaNo, it's not. Everyone is just butthurt because it's not nearly as good as it should have been. Which is fair.
-
Do you like repetitive games and loot farming? If not, don't pick this up it's beautiful visually, but that's it.
-
3 Respuestasthey expected destiny would be a baby of halo and skyrim or wow. it's not. frustration.

2 RespuestasRead the forums, watch the idiots. do actual research on it. Dont ask for the opinions of others. because.. well.. You got a bunch of white knights defending the game, and you got a bunch of haters hating on the game. After the hype and all the "lost" content. I've lost interest for now. until the future. But thats my opinion, you should not follow it. but do your own research. ^.^"

Destiny came with my PS4. I'm more than satisfied.

4 RespuestasEditado por Din: 11/11/2014 3:08:50 AMBest game I've played in years. Look for the posts which poll whether or not people enjoy the game. It's always around 80-20 for. I have no idea what type if games you like, based on the average destiny player you have about 70- 80% chance of enjoying it.

Its a good game its addicting but the story is where they done goofed otherwise game isnt bad
-
there is no definitive answer.Depending on the time you spent following the ups and downs of development, the changes made, and such will color the final product. I came at it with mostly the impressions and reviews on GamesRadar as my guidepost. With its reporting of what the game IS rather than what it WAS planned to be, I thought I'd have a better time than I thought. I was right. I like the game and when I'm not working OT from my home office, I play it and will play it.

1 RespuestaEditado por Rogue4Lyfe: 11/11/2014 11:43:13 PMits honestly a fantastic game. my favorite among any i've played so many people are butthurt because they have ungodly high expectations and fall for exaggerated advertisement

Editado por CircusOfValuues: 11/11/2014 11:43:58 PMDepends on you and what you like to do in a game. If you don't mind repetition with the random chance of getting something, you won't like it. It's a bit like a game about fancy slot machines. The story is also barely a story, unless you give them a bunch of money. But it's an addicting time killer that's for sure. So yea, in my opinion it's totally up to you and whatever kind of games you play.

No people have nothing better to do so they hate on it
-
Depends on what kind of gamer you are. If you like myself and others were looking forward to a great story with FPS and RPG elements, then no. I've logged a lot of time and at this point the only thing to do the weekly strike and raid. I've enjoyed my time, but also accepted that the story was a bust. But overall fun for a couple on months? Then, yes. Though so you know, lots of bugs right now, especially in the raid. Lots of people afk in strikes and still get loot, sometimes the best loot. Which is due to a horrible RNG system. But back to just an overall fun factor? Yes, it's worth it. I'm taking a break for Unity and Dragon Age. Maybe then, I'll feel the urge to play again. Happy gaming to you.

Editado por LordOfPit: 11/11/2014 11:42:48 PMBoth. It's a good game (for fans of shooters and guns, PvP and social grinders) and a disappointment to anyone who believed Bungie could make an actual roleplaying/shooter hybrid in a SciFi rich environment with a story that would keep people enjoying the franchise (both content and gameplay) for the next 10 years.
-
Now all the COD kids have left and the jealous xbox one users who where banging on over halo it can only get better
-
It is "worth playing", then you can decide if you "like it"
-
If you enjoy mindless grinding for gear then it is the game for you.

3 RespuestasIt's not as bad as people say. You'll most likely get several hundred hours of enjoyable gameplay, with more coming in a month and a half. The people you see slandering this game have mostly logged way the hell too much time binging on this game (it's quite addictive) and ran out of stuff to do. You gotta remember that the vocal ones represent the minority. That being said, lots of flaws including an infuriating loot system, very short story that doesn't make any sense. Very little content too. You'll find yourself doing the same thing over and over. And over and over. But the gunplay is very well done and it's visually pretty so it's not THAT bad the first bajillion times you do everything :) Worth the price of admission, and I have a hunch there'll be a big overhaul within the next month-month and a half to correct a lot of major flaws.

It's a great game people just love to complain. They get a game, play it for days straight and then complain about it when they've 'done everything possible'
-
It is not nearly as bad as some of these morons are saying. Its fun and it makes you wanna keep playing. Is there a lack of content? Yes. Does that make the game not fun? Not even close. Try it for yourself and decide. Don't let abunch of butthurt forum trolls make your decision.
-
No, in MY OPINION the game is amazing the gunplay is amazing the layout is great and the enemies and strikes are fun vault of glass easily the best part of the game and the most fun I've had with a game in a while and defiantly worth the money and buy the expansion packs. Cons- not what was expected go back and look at videos, story wasnt as good as expected but it's the first game in the franchise so they can't tell us the entire story. In my opinion but the game people are just being dramatic and exaggerating with their negative comments.
I've heard a lot of people saying that Destiny is a huge disappointment while others saying it's a fairly good game. What do you all think?
It's not fairly good. It's awesome. Look at the hours people are putting in!! It's crazy!! Check any video game forum out there. They are all exactly the same. Full of retards that think 60$ buys them the world.

Editado por ToPocHi: 11/11/2014 4:52:23 AMI personally think that modern day gaming standards have reached very lofty standards. While that's not necessarily a bad aspect, a good chunk of modern gamers are those that seek instant-gratification. If any one element of any game simply does not meet their pre-conceived view/expectation of the game in question, they will very likely judge that game very harshly with little reservation over the internet where freedom of expression/opinion is simply ubiquitous. As pertaining to the topic, I personally find the game amazing. The story seem to be the key aspect everyone brings to point being the weakest, with questionable business practices coming in at a close second place. While these are indeed existing issues, people seem to be blowing things out of proportion. There is certainly story and lore but the dialogue in the cutscenes were indeed a little dry, which does make it seem like there isn't much going on. And with regards to the DLC, I haven't really read much into it, but I've been playing for many hours on end and don't feel like I'm playing an unfinished product. At the end of the day, you're the one who determines if a game is good or bad. Destiny is a product of hundreds, if not thousands of collective minds and ideas, put together to entertain people who enjoy gaming. If all people are gonna do is to simply hate on it because some "famous Youtube reviewer" says so, then the trend is unsettling because we get more losers than winners that way; game companies get bashed/hated and gamers become more self-entitled, making the industry a cesspool of negativity instead of a growing arena of creativity and entertainment. TLDR: Support games that you feel is fun and gives you an experience worth appreciating; and simply don't if it doesn't. Destiny deserves better given what I've seen on the interwebs which comprises of nothing but hate and bashing for it.
