If you didn't know this about strikes... You're Welcome

There is nothing worse then getting into a slow strike group. Every tiger strike should be a speed run because they only rewards you actually get come at the very end. With that being said, DON'T ATTACK ENEMIES THAT ARN'T IN A DARKNESS ZONE, just simply get on your sparrow and head to the next section. This will cut your tiger strikes in half and make it much easier to get your emblems and experience after completion. Bump so people learn Edit1: I added the correct you're in the title so people would look past it and actually read my post Edit 2: I'm sorry but I can't "enjoy" something I have already done 50 times over. Edit 3: Speed runs are in my blood so you probably won't change my opinion. When I was a tank in WoW I would continuously pull groups of mobs and barely give the healer anytime to drink unless he was completely oom. I realized in each instance I did that if the healer was good he would love me as a tank and be able to keep up and every bad healer would usually just yell "SLOW DOWN -blam!- YOU SUCK" then proceed to leave. So if your comment to this post relates in anyway to how a bad healer would respond, I simply ignore it as I did back then.

    • I was a dps bear tank raid leader, I know where your coming from. Destiny is a tad different so I have a mixed opinion... You also don't need to wait the 30 seconds for mission to end. After rewards, your good to go

I'm from between the sides. If I'm with my own fireteam, we just rush through, but if I'm with randoms and they slow down, I wait for them patiently (Occasionally helping them with the cleaning). Nowhere does it say that you have to be a dick to get the job done.

I'm that guy that will make you speed run, I will run to a checkpoint and die so it spawns you there. So good luck evading it hahaha. Speed runs for life. If you want to kill every single thing that moves and take an hour to do a strike, go find a loot cave to sit at. It's called tiger "strike" not stroll. Hit fast, hit hard and go to the next one

        • In a game where every enemy has a chance for an engram drop, I think it's stupid to not spend the extra three minutes killing mobs. That said, I generally will try to catch up if a speeder runs off

        • Dude, build your speed team and run with it, not randoms, because I'm killing everything for the experience and more chances for purple drops. It's not hard and takes barely more time. If you work together and not for yourself, strikes can last 15 minutes. It's a co-op game mode. If you get teamed up with 2 randoms wanting a speed run, then speed run together, FR them too, but if you're one of those assholes that run alone leaving your teammate behind, don't play co-op, especially with randoms. It's not about you, it's about the team. I also hope when they create custom matches for PvP, they make it for PvE as well, then you can run your own strikes solo every time as fast as you would like : )

          • They need to make an option to play by yourself so that someone like yourself can play the strike how he/she would like, I kill everything because I'm constantly leveling up guns and having fun while I kick back and relax after work, so I choose to kill everything, again this is the choice I make, you can play the strike however you'd like, but your wrong about it being faster unless all three people rush. I've done strikes with people that don't kill anything unless they have to, they fly past everything get to the boss and start fighting, I kill everything and show up maybe a few minutes behind them and the boss still has 4/5 of his health, again its up to you how you play, but your method isn't some new amazing way to do a strike, and it isn't the quote 'right' way so, I appreciate your opinion but that's exactly what it is.

          • I also prefer to speed run through them. They were fun the first 30 times I did them... now I just want to get through them. If someone else wants to stay behind and slow poke it out... fine by me, I can do it by myself anyway and if I get downed and wipe, they'll be pulled forward. Just yesterday I was running a friend who is new to the game through the Devil's Lair strike for the Golden Chest and our 3rd stayed back in the starting point. LOL.. I told my friend that person probably had the Strike without Dying bounty and wasn't capable of actually running it without dying. No big deal... I help randoms out with the Raid all the time so I see no difference helping randoms out letting them skate by for a bounty if they need it.

This is the reason we need a LFG tool in this lame ass game. You want to speed run? Find a group that wants to speed run with you. The Dev's were damn lazy, or they were amateurs. No LFG tools in the game. I go with the flow. If I see one guy running, the other taking his time? I slow down. Hang back with the other player. If the two are running I try to keep up, kinda. I'm in no rush, ever. To the numbskull that said " I die in the darkness zone so you get pulled up " then laughs about it? Do it. I will sit back and watch how well you run and gun alone and I still reap the rewards. Self centered turds. Edit: Two nights a ago, in two separate tiger runs. I got two legendary engrams. They dropped in the trash, mobs, whatever term you elitist use. Both boots. Ghost Angel, Dust Walker. You keep running.

Its funny how slow people go during the strikes sometimes, not going to lie I've farmed for materials instead of doing the strike to double dip and it will take the sometimes 2 lvl 30's like 45 minutes to complete something I can run by my self in barely 10. Honestly the rewards from the strikes are shit considering their is only a like 1-1000 chance to get an Exotic or a Legendary to drop, and 99.99% of the Rares are completely useless. Now if most of the weapons and armor from strikes were upgraded to Legendary status I might have a reason to do something other than run circles around common area's during patrols to try and get gear.

            • you have a chance to get legendary engrams from every enemy that you kill so why not shoot them along the way in strikes. you only save a minute or two by speed running through them.i kill most enemies in my strikes and im usually done within 10 minutes

            • Yea, no way punk. You know how many Legendary Engrams I've gotten from killing the enemies?? Today.. 2 Only time you should be speed running strikes is for bounties. And you don't do that in Tiger, you do that by selecting the individual Strike in the Director. So please, do us real Tiger Strikers a favor and stay out of the playlist if you're going to speed run.

              • I agree. If you want to kill all of the enemies because that is "how legendary engrams drop" than go do a patrol mission. Speed run the strike and you should still kill plenty of enemies and than you get free engrams. And funny thing is that when I speed through a strike with slow people that have to kill everything, I still end up with more kills. Speed run it and you kill twice as much in the same time frame and you get free engrams.

              • 1. If you plan on speed running, organise a fireteam to do it with 2. If you're playing random, wait to see what your partners do first 3. You can get way better drops from killing all the mobs than you do for just completing the strike.
