My 30 hunter was just deleted...
By my 17 yr old step daughter while I was asleep. She was visiting for a few days and had never played it before, so I said she could play as long as she used a different account and didn't -blam!- with anything. Apparently that didn't sink in.
I haven't sat in shock for that long since I got my car stolen.
I lost:
All my raid/exotic gear and materials/coins
Suros regime
Thorn
Atheon's epilogue
Vex mythoclast
Hawkmoon
Fate bringer
The last word
Plan c
Pocket infinity
Gjallerhorn
A -blam!- TON of time and effort.
Also lost my Jolders hammer machine gun from the iron banner, and numerous legendary weapons.
I almost don't want to play this shit anymore now. I need a -blam!-ing hug :(
*edit: just to reiterate, she doesn't live here, and only sleeps here maybe once a month. So my gaming habits evolved accordingly.

But if what you're saying is true then Bungie would have that data. I mean even if they didn't save each character's information they would have the weapons you used in crucible as well as your light level, which would be enough to verify most of what your saying without going any deeper.

Hmmm...Blizzard has a policy in place that you get one restore per account with no questions asked(within reason and can be validated). Lost a level 80 to something like this? Restored within 24-48hrs. It just requires a call to customer support. Bungie should be able to step up and support your character delete. Obviously, if you sound like a complete idiot on the phone and your claim isn't legit, well good luck to you. But obviously you seem legit, call them...if you can find a phone support number.

Yeah I love how ps4 added a 4 digit passcode for profiles. My kid would always wreck my games on PS3, spend all my money and shoot all my ammo and then save it.

Sorry to hear man. Try making a separate account for the kiddos. My Goddaughter watches Netflix and I use a different one for her games and what not so my accounts are safe. Apart from that she only asks me to "fly" when in orbit lol.

Make a ticket. Sometimes explaining your situation in good detail, helps a lot for asking a refund. Even wow as a system that you can restore lost items or characters.

That sucks ass. I'd probably trade it in but then again I bought it digitally so I'd probably just stop playing. I just maxed out my Hunter so no matter what armor I'm wearing im lvl 30. If somebody deleted that I'd for'sure quit playing.

Ouch, I had something like that happen to me with Gran Turismo 2. Me and a buddy of mine took the time to knock out all of the endurance races and only had to do a few of smaller races to get 100% completion, and then one day we jump on and all of our progress is gone. So I go and check the memory card, and my brother had decided to start a brand new Madden Franchise at the expense of our GT2 save. I haven't played a GT game since.
