My 30 hunter was just deleted...
By my 17 yr old step daughter while I was asleep. She was visiting for a few days and had never played it before, so I said she could play as long as she used a different account and didn't -blam!- with anything. Apparently that didn't sink in.
I haven't sat in shock for that long since I got my car stolen.
I lost:
All my raid/exotic gear and materials/coins
Suros regime
Thorn
Atheon's epilogue
Vex mythoclast
Hawkmoon
Fate bringer
The last word
Plan c
Pocket infinity
Gjallerhorn
A -blam!- TON of time and effort.
Also lost my Jolders hammer machine gun from the iron banner, and numerous legendary weapons.
I almost don't want to play this shit anymore now. I need a -blam!-ing hug :(
*edit: just to reiterate, she doesn't live here, and only sleeps here maybe once a month. So my gaming habits evolved accordingly.

So she deleted your character on purpose...? I don't even know how to delete a character never looked it up lol. I feel that is has to take longer than deleting an exotic items though I mean why would she need a new character in the first place did you have 3 so she thought I'll delete the one with the highest number? 17 yrs old? you sure it was an accident, deleting a character is like deleting a ship, it takes a few seconds. gotta be holding that finger down intentionally to delete a character i woulda thought. but hey ya never know, coulda been an accident. oh 1 more thing.. once u have held your finger down to delete it? A BIG DAMN MESSAGE comes up saying *are you sure u want to delete*, but hey it coulda been accidental. lol

Bungie has a clear stance on this. This is why you dont let someone play on your account. Bungie stick to your guns on this one. However with saying this that sucks and I wish you the best in remaking your class.

I remember when I was three I would delete my dads progress on Super Mario on the SNES, so I could play from the beginning. I had my daughter factory reset my PSVita once. All those games, all that time, all gone when I woke up in the morning. She was like 2 or 3 at the time, I wished she was a grown man so I could punch her in the face. But she got off easy 'cause it was partly my fault for leaving it so close to her bed. What I'm getting at is I've been on both sides of it and I know how much it sucks, but you can't trust kids with your things.

Thats when I would sell the game, I dont normally do that with games since I like to collect them but if that happened to me all Destiny would remind me is the time put into it only for someone to delete my character. Good -blam!-ing grief that is just awful, I would never work to get all that stuff back I would just quit there :/

3 RespuestasYou built it up once, you can do it again and possibly get more variety gear. I always try to stay positive about these sorts of things. It was an accident on a video game. It wasn't a thesis paper or an important work document. Just line up those head shots some more...

This is one way how serial killers are made... "Accidental" deleting of game data.. I would go apeshit if something like this happened to me
