My 30 hunter was just deleted...
By my 17 yr old step daughter while I was asleep. She was visiting for a few days and had never played it before, so I said she could play as long as she used a different account and didn't -blam!- with anything. Apparently that didn't sink in.
I haven't sat in shock for that long since I got my car stolen.
I lost:
All my raid/exotic gear and materials/coins
Suros regime
Thorn
Atheon's epilogue
Vex mythoclast
Hawkmoon
Fate bringer
The last word
Plan c
Pocket infinity
Gjallerhorn
A -blam!- TON of time and effort.
Also lost my Jolders hammer machine gun from the iron banner, and numerous legendary weapons.
I almost don't want to play this shit anymore now. I need a -blam!-ing hug :(
*edit: just to reiterate, she doesn't live here, and only sleeps here maybe once a month. So my gaming habits evolved accordingly.

This is why nobody touches my xbone. Even when I had my 360, people weren't allowed to play it. I had this happen with a character on Morrowind which caused me to take my power cable to work with me until people understood not to touch my shit.

Dang...that's terrible... There needs to be some kind of security precaution for a situation like this. Perhaps a password for each character, or a 30 sec delete button hold, or a 24hr period where you can cancel a deletion, or a confirmation email to your PSN email address,or the ability to back up a character on an external drive. Something needs to be implemented.

I remember when I was much younger, I let one of my mates borrow my Donkey Kong 64 and when he gave it back to me, my main save was deleted. I was so close to getting up to the final boss and beating it but apparently his 'cousin' accidentally deleted it and there was nothing I could do about it. And considering I was a child, I was pretty pissed as that game was tough! So I know what it feels like to lose something you put so much effort into. On another note, next time, if there is a next time, you should try keeping your stuff in your vault so you can get it back. My mate is only missing two exotics until he has collected them all and apart from a Gjallarhorn (which he has 3), and whatever exotic he chooses to level up at the moment, he keeps them all in his vault. Be smart about it, and don't trust people next time, they'll only screw you over in whatever way possible.

I would of tagged that glass jaw of hers. 17 years old and doesn't know "delete" means DEL -blam!-ING LETE. give me her address so I can use my golden gun or my arc blade on her. as a fellow hunter I understand your frustration. I have so much shit on my hunter.. so many exotics + amazing k/d in pvp. if that were me I would of quite... plus the DLC being a month away. dam bro.

My question is why didn't you personally set her up with her own character? Second she is stupid. If she knows enough to delete a character, she should know enough about what the number 30 is next to the three character choices you have in the begining. You're bad dude.
