Or you could play the game as it was intended. Tiger strikes are the fastest way to farm engrams now anyway.

I honestly don't see much difference either.. You just have to move your character in the strikes..

This is a way the game was intended. Farming is real. Its okay to exist. Bungie created destiny to be forged in our gaming!! *blocks legit spot in raid thus not letting us play the game the way it was* *patches caves constantly*

True, tiger strikes are the best way to get blue engrams, however I don't mind people doing this, they should be left alone, their game, their money, their time. A bunch of green orbs are considered cheating or an exploit? really?

You sir/madam are one of the few people on this thread to make any bit of sense. Too many people worry about what other people do IN A VIDEOGAME that doesn't affect them in any way.

An mmo was intended to be played. Just played. No lines drawn on how and what to do. Jeez just let everyone play as they want and prefer. Strikes take a while and whenever I speed run I get angry messages that im not playing a team game the 'right' way. My god people relax.

Boom. Now tell destiny to not advertise itself as a hybrid of such. That was their mission statement and how they branded themselves. But we cant even have prox chat at launch. Or type text. Or pvp team chat. How was that overlooked

Actually they have always called it a "shared world shooter". Not an mmo.

Shared world? Like with multiple players. In a mass number playing together. While the game is connected online for it to be played. An apple can be called an apple or advertised as a delicious fruit. Didnt realize that they didnt intend their game to be recieved as a hyrbid of an MMORPG.

This is the flawed and entitled logic of today's gamers. Just because its not fixed now and just because it's in the game doesn't mean: 1) It's supposed to stay that way. 2) It's meant to be played that way. 3) That the developers intended people to exploit their games flaws. The loot caved proved that already.

An mmo can be interpreted in multiple ways. Having them show you how to play is like a parent telling their child to not be different and experiment. Its nature. They wont be able to control it. Did they intended to lock content on a disc but leave holes in the world to acess those spots? Terminus. Kings watch. The moon location. Or damn theres so many I forgot.

Varied interpretations don't justify exploits. Nor are exploits "interpretations" of experimenting. The mere fact that they nerfed the loot cave is evidence that some things aren't meant to be exploited, excuse me, i mean "interpreted" as viable ways to play. They are rhetorical for a reason. They have been asked all over the forums in different threads and ways. I dont know why my age should matter. I just expressing my opinion on how destiny has been patched and altered since launch. Yes people may not agree with it and there are pros and cons but im saying from my perspective and many others, it seems uneeded. Why does a game need to be played a single specific way? Did Nintendo freak out when people began speed running Mario? "No you cant miss all those coins! Go back and play again!" I just find it childish that they make a claim like that and alter it to make their way. Its like playing cops and robbers with that annoying kid that gets shots and instantly has a bullet proof vest on, but in this case one did magically appear! Now some things do need altering and patched just some of the things they have done were unnecessary. Did people shooting into a cave really hurt anyone else? I mean really hurt someone else who didn't farm a cave! I mean farm its farmin like all mmo's it's one aspect of a mmo they got rid of. This is becoming more and more unlike an mmo or a hybrid.

Bungie themselves have said that shooting into a cave for hours is not how the game was intended to be played.

I honestly think that the only reason they nerfed the loot cave and said that is because some people farming it, and the new areas, get so attached and addicted to it that they actually report players that are playing, in other ways, in the area that they are farming just to get them to go away.

But that should speak volumes. People would rather have FUN shooting into the cave and gathering a group of likeminded mmo players and enjoy shooting fish in a barrel. The fact that playing tiger playlist gets as repetitive as shooting in a cave is sad. Why cant I shoot a cave for ten minutes but shooting Valustarc (not spelling that lol) is acceptable. Same concept. The overreaction of how a game is intended to be played is childish and hadnt happened in any other game I have played. I dont remember being yelled at or having a finger wagged at me when we figured out superbounces in halo2. Hell that was so much fun and if someone did one I never saw I needed to know how to break out! I dont remember bungie crying saying to stop defying gravity! Masterchief was never meant to reach such heights! Or anyone crying to bungie that people are playing differently and that it needed to be stopped.

You can say farming is fun all you want but we all know that would be a lie. Also, there is no way you can say the strikes are as repetitive as farming, not to mention they actually take at least a little bit of skill. Farming not so much.

Pshh it was fun at the cave the few times I was there. Without prox chat it was difficult to converse with the many guardians that awaited each wave after 5 seconds. But through all the dancing and waving and pointing, or the public events we utterly rocked. Through the few "........found legendary engrams" there were no one was mad. A dance craze would unfurl. It was fun to farm with likeminded people who chose to play the game as many others. But I will not enjoy those few hours of fun due to the fact that the cave had collapsed by the weight of the complaints that had fell upon its ceiling.

Doesn't matter if that's how it was intended. When people pay for something, they should use it how they want. It's up to them to deal with the repercussions.

So by that logic.... if i want to play crucible using an aimbot that insta headshots anything that comes on my screen with a sniper, I can do so without punishment? Because "I bought the game I can play it how I want"? Lol...
