Please "like" this post to get bungies attention.
In PvP each players points, earned during the matches they play, add up until they hit a certain amount. (say 2500) Once a player reaches this amount it resets to zero and they get a random item. These points carry over from match to match. So if a player only gets 1500 points one game, the next game they only need 1000 more.
Bonus points would be awarded to wining team, and top 3 players regardless of which team they were on.
Good players would get more loot drops, so better chance of getting something great, but low levels could still get gear by playing a few matches.

what they need to do is break up pvp into 2 catagories... random crucible how it is set up now and a private crucible where only fireteams play each other. or even set up a league with better rewards. up the chance of higher rewards for the gireteam crucible (like 15%) and leave the other as it is. that way you know your teamates and you can cut whoever is horrible at the game. it would at least take away some of the ego driven hate. most get choked that last place may get an exotic while first may get nothing then they feel they need to complain because someone of a lower skill got a good drop. to me that is like someone playing a slot machine for 6hrs and winning nothing and then watching the next guy get the jackpot the minute he leaves his machine and taking it out on them for being a lazy, undeserving jerk cuz it only cost them 25cents and 20 seconds. rng games aren't fair... neither is life. you can whine about it or you can move on and keep trying. after playing this game for the last month i have a hard time believing that all the best players never get good rewards. they are just choked that less talented players can get the same thing. i have seen exotics handed out to the top players as much as i have seen them handed out to the worst. and if they really feel only he worst are always rewarded... stop trying so hard. why not try to come in last as much as possible? beat the poor players at their own game. i really liked the earlier suggestion of keeping the rewards private. that would do a lot to cut back on all the "it's not fair!" bs.

1 RespuestaThe largest reward in whatever "points system" you come up with needs to be awarded for simply completing the match. Example-I'm not going to make top 3 or winning team /quit

You can redeem points at any point past having 250 points, and would be a tiered system that breaks down like so: 250 points: Guaranteed green item, chance of blue item 1 in 50, chance of purple item 1 in 100, chance of exotic item 1 in 1000. 1000 points: Guaranteed green item, chance of blue item 1 in 10, chance of purple item 1 in 50, chance of exotic item 1 in 100. 2500 points: Guaranteed blue item, chance of purple item 1 in 10, chance of exotic item 1 in 50. 10000 points: Guaranteed purple item, chance of exotic item 1 in 10. 100000 points: Guaranteed exotic item.

Awesome. Might actually make rewards fair. Too bad Bungie doesn't seem to listen, and never replies, unless you mention a lawsuit. They should just collect the highest ranked posts and then do a poll on what the community wants first.

1 RespuestaEditado por SiegeWulf: 10/14/2014 6:22:26 AMI agree with a lot of what is said about the loot, +1 to the concept! However, a lot of you seem to be forgetting that not everyone is lucky enough to get great gear or have solid days to put into playing that the core players do and are forced at this point to compete with these core players! Hence they have made it random so that a person who may be really trying to play hard but is not yet geared to Rank highly can still be rewarded for doing the pvp part of the game! I for one think that this is pretty fair. That said however, WHY Bungie, makers of one of the MOST PLAYED multiplayer game of all time on consoles, have you NOT implemented a better match-making system so that the above is not necessary, thereby avoiding the 'face slapping' that the core pvp'ers are feeling they are getting! I also think that the fireteam/LFG system is woeful and could use re-designing (see my other posts), but that is another story. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/72717296/0/0 I know, not everyone agrees, but I think this would appease the masses.

1 RespuestaEditado por Trestero: 10/14/2014 3:47:17 AMThe idea I had a while back was to set up some kind of what I guess I'd call a gradient - based on things like placing or score in a game, make it so those who do worst have the best chance at getting loot but the chances of getting something rare decrease. Those at the top will have a lower chance of loot drops but when they actually do get something they'll have a much better chance of getting higher-rarity items like legendaries or exotics. I think establishing an indirect relationship between opportunity and quality would work better than what we have, since those doing poorly can easily get gear to reach the point where they're competitive and those who do well, while not getting drops as much, won't have to feel shafted by someone at the bottom of the scoreboard getting a reward they were hoping for, like say Timur's Lash in Iron Banner or an exotic, while they get a blue.

1 RespuestaI like this approach to PvP loot drops. +10

1 RespuestaPersonally, i think it should be random. To a point. If you AFK or get 1 kill and 15 deaths and you did absolutely nothing to your team, there should be a 0% chance of you getting any rewards of any kind. If you get 6000+ points and completely dominated the game and carried your team, no you should not be guaranteed a reward. Be a part of the random drop rate like everybody else, maybe with a higher percent chance of getting something, but still, RNG. It should be random, because it has to be fair. If you are bad at PvP, you wont want to play if there is no chance of you ever getting a reward. Now if you are so bad that you cant get a few kills or captures - well you shouldnt be playing. But you should not ostracize the people who arent first place team carriers just because they arent as good as you. Make sure the AFKers or someone who is so bad there is no way they are trying dont get loot. everyone else has the randomness, and maybe the leader has a little extra percentage change or they get an assured blue engram or something. That will be more balanced than give the noobs nothing and give the leaders all this gear and weapons they will most likely dismantle anyways.

4 RespuestasPerhaps you should work at bungie. Declaring that you fixed something when it's obviously not, you'll fit right in!

7 RespuestasHmm isn't this exactly what Crucible Marks are? You get a little each match and once you get 65 you can buy a purple item, then they reset back. Winning team gets more Crucible marks than losing team. I think you've hit the nail on the head of the whole Crucible Vendors.
