I treat it differently. I cant go to gamescom but i can buy a ghost ED.

So, you're equivocating you code use? Rationalizing why an exclusive code for people who went to gamescom that gets publicly shared is acceptable to use because you can't be there yourself, but the same rationale can't be used for the publicly shared codes from the ghost ED? It is just data, there is not moral or ethical value associated with these non-unique codes. If the code issuers had a problem with these codes being shared, they would have made them single use. Otherwise, there is no possible way to track who has gotten them legitimately from the source and who has gotten them from a second hand source. When 343i did their codes for Halo 4, they made the codes with entry prerequisites (you had to actually accomplish something in the game, or in other games, to even redeem the codes) to make these otherwise public codes more exclusive. No such restriction has been implemented here, and no attempt has been made to cipher them either. Why would they start now?

It's just my opinion man. I enjoy it more the way i go about it that's all.

That's all well and good, but won't you still be copying down a code from your ghost ED and redeeming it on this site? It's not as if you will have to sort through stacks of paper and then decipher them. If it were, I'm sure that would be very rewarding as it would take some degree of intelligence and work to pull off something like that. I don't even think you'll have to hunt for these in the game as they become available through the Special Order Kiosk in the Tower after code redemption. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, I just don't see how what your talking about could be any more rewarding, especially considering your statement about the GamesCom codes. Besides, there's no guarantee that these codes are identical to the ones in your ghost ED. Also, nothing that these codes unlock actually do anything other than either change the cosmetic of the Guardian (which you don't even get to appreciate most of the time because of the game's point of view), or how your name appears in roster screens.

I'm not sure why you are questioning how i plan on having fun. Don't worry about it!
