Honestly, the only people who truly know how the raids work and what you do within them are Bungie employees and those people who tested it. If any info on it isn't coming directly from them then it's all speculation which should just be ignored.

2 Respuestasi feel like if it would be shorter and too easy people would say its just a different strike and after a few weeks everyone is gonna bash destiny "to easy, boring game" etc. thats usually how the internet rolls. also im pretty sure its possible to finish a raid way before you hit 16hours. (i remember my first strike on the beta, at first i needed 1 hour with my team, after i did a strike like 20 times i only needed 15 minutes.) if you rly need that much time you must be a no life gamer or just say to your boss "sry dude, need a free day tomorrow, got to finish a raid."

13 RespuestasYep I probably won't bother, I've had years of the elitist attitude to raiding in other mmos and after been there and done that it's probably the least appealing part of the game to me. Just hope there are equal ways to get some great gear without raids.

2 RespuestasI agree - I did the research of what a RAID is and what it requires 1. Requires teamwork - Great! I wouldn't want it any other way. I believe in teamwork to get things done and think that a true team is unstoppable. 2. Has to be a clan - Maybe but teamwork can exist anywhere, even among people who for whatever reason cannot speak to each other. 3. Anyone else will be wasting their time and fail - Well its my own time to spend how I see fit and if I want to throw myself uselessly against a mission every day for a year - its still my own right to do so. I may join a group at some point to try this but the interesting thing I am finding is that the impossible mission doesn't bother me in the least but some of the elitist, self-righteous, egotistical people that I have seen post in these forums on this subject are the very reason that I do not like clans. My friends and I may try a RAID at some point but the more I hear about them the less interesting they sound.

I understand what you are saying, but I don't see Bungie making it unaccessible. I had more of a problem with the undying bounty, it is just going to make life miserable.

Bungie has stated very often that they are planning activities for a wide variety of players' tastes. Lots of varying challenges for different skill levels and skill sets. I really line the idea of working towards a raid completion, and at the same time I will probably stay out of the crucible. Diffr'nt strokes fer diffr'nt folks.

Yeah it took them 16 hours because they were still testing it and tweaking it. I can't wait for the raid!

In another interview they said they arent certain how long youll spend on it the first time, but once you learn the raid youll be clearing it in 3 hours or less. its just that first time that can be problematic. as for the 16 hours, i dont buy it. theres so many factors on it. how geared were they, what were the class setups, did they get to learn the class or just thrown in there, how balanced were the enemies, how often were the breaks they took and how many

Since it sounds like we are going to need 6 people in a party to even attempt a raid, I've decided to make a clan to (hopefully) get enough people to at least give raiding a try. I agree with a lot of what SlateD56 said. If a raid does take 8-16 hours to complete that would be a huge turnoff for me. That being said, I don't want to pass up on raiding entirely just because it might be long. Maybe there are checkpoints and you can reassemble your group later to continue from where you left off? I'm definitely curious what bungie has put together for us to experience. Thats just stupid for the plain resaon that u exclude to many people. And that has nothing to do with pro. It can be hard as hell but if its so long that you have to sell of your family and loved ones to be able to complete it. Theres no point in it. Focus on quality not quantity.

You cant realy judge the difficulty of the raid from a group that has no prior experience with the game. Raids are mostly end game material, people that do them are supposed to have aloot of game experienced. Raids also go heavily for teamwork, thus the need for a clan. You need to know the people you play with and the people need to know you (when i say that they need to know you i dont mean the you irl, i mean the you ingame. How your char works, what you do in certain situations and in return you know them, so you can trust that healer to heal you at the right time, etc). If they do it any easier then that the late game will quickly become boring. Your bottomline is very subjective, most people ENJOY a bit of challange and adversity, its no fun if everything is easy. (Raids tend to be something that requires work to complete).
