Well, because no matter what you do, or how hard you try, the inexorable march of non-existence will wipe your pitiful accomplishments from the face of the Earth. All it takes is time. And even if you have done something, it's nowhere near deserving of respect. Because the chances are you're young, and haven't had the opportunity. Maybe pre- to early-20s, and you tell yourself you'll accomplish something. But you won't, because everybody tells themselves that. You'll probably get some shitty job in the financial sector working in a tiny, boiling hot cubicle for 8 hours a day over the course of 4 decades for a company that doesn't give a shit about you. Why? Because the world sucks some major ass. To be honest, the sooner you begin to rejoice in being closer to your own undeniable doom, the happier you will probably be. I don't know why you would want to live out your awful, pathetic life. Because we are, all of us, insects scrambling in the dirt; waiting to feel the sole of the Universe's boot.
