This idea came to me recently while running Dungeon Lair with friends. Both Titans and Warlocks have ways to help teammates maintain static DPS, such as Bastion, Crest of Alpha Lupi, Ward of Dawn, Healing Rift, and Well of Radiance, but Hunters currently lack such options. Of course, this is part of the Hunter’s identity, emphasizing evasion over tanking damage.
However, I believe Hunters should at least have a way to support the entire team in static DPS situations. The first reason is that in random matchmade fireteams, there isn’t always a healer, which poses a significant risk in Dungeon Lairs. If teammates aren’t skilled at surviving while dealing damage, clearing the activity becomes nearly impossible. The second reason is that when using Glaives or swords in close-quarters Boss DPS, Hunters lack a sustainable recovery method, especially when some bosses deploy mines or flames. After all, not every sword is like Wolfsbane, which can generate Orbs of Power and restore health.
But simply giving Hunters a rift- or barrier-like ability, as Titans and Warlocks have, might undermine the class’s identity. Therefore, here are my ideas:
1. Design an Exotic armor that modifies the functionality of Spectral Blades or Shadowshot, allowing Hunters to grant sustained invisibility to nearby allies while using Spectral Blades. This invisibility would not break when firing, similar to the Shroud effect in Banes. Alternatively, this Exotic could modify Shadowshot so that arrows no longer apply Weakening but instead grant sustained invisibility to allies within the arrow’s impact area.
2. Modify the effect of the Exotic armor "Balance of Power" so that decoys deployed by Hunters no longer detonate when PvE combatants approach (distinguishing between PvE and PvP). Instead, they could provide nearby allies with effects similar to the Titan’s "Into the Fray" Aspect, granting Woven Mail and minor healing.
3. Add an additional effect to the Exotic armor Triton Vice, allowing Hunters to generate Orbs while dealing sustained Glaive melee damage or sword damage.
Please, development team, I kindly ask you to consider my suggestions.

2 RespuestasHunters need to be removed from the game.

1 RespuestaI like that each class has its own identity, as someone who plays all 3 characters I like that they offer something different.

44 RespuestasIt does not sound like you play hunter. There are already plenty of buffs and aids for survivability hunters can apply to their team. Radiant both with dodge or a melee hit On your mark Healing grenades Tether (strongest debuff in the game) Invis (Trapper's Ambush, On the Prowl) Damage resist (Omnioculus, Renewal Grasps) Melee energy (Grim Harvest - also DR and health regen when on stasis) Amplified

1 RespuestaI feel like some aspects on hunter should also affect your teammates. For example on your mark should give allies in like a 10-15m radius the buff as well. Or gunpowder gambles explosion could provide radiant or something in a small radius.
