As of now I’ve done the dungeon twice (well, once and then a boss checkpoint), and that’s all I’ve played of this season. Endlessly grinding the seasonal activity and the same old other activities to maybe get a good gun just doesn’t interest me. At least obtaining the crafting patterns was a solid goal to reach each season before this.

2 RespuestasGarbage season, i hope appeasing the gambling addicts and no lifers on crafting was worth the drop in engagement.

Editado por Linkfain: 11/16/2024 1:32:33 AMAgreed, Crafting still has RNG for the patterns, it respects your time, saves on vault space, and if an old craftable weapon becomes meta you have access to it. If an old non-craftable gun is suddenly meta you have to grind garbage rolls and that's IF the activity is still in the game to get it. Anyone that didn't like crafting could simply not engage with the system. The only thing they were missing is that craftable weapons that aren't actually crafted (activity drops) can't be enhanced.

3 RespuestasCouldn't have said it better myself. I played way more in seasons when they had weapon patterns, because at least I was guaranteed to be rewarded for my grinding, instead of being forced to grind endlessly for just a chance at something good, with a pretty high chance of just wasting my time. The other issue with Bungie taking away patterns is that now my already limited vault space is even more limited, because I have to hold onto any half decent rolls I get, since I'll never be able to farm for them again once the next expansion comes out.

Agree on the crafting.

7 RespuestasBungie: We’re introducing weapon crafting, so no longer will you have to endlessly search for that perfect god roll! Bungie: We’re not letting you craft weapons because we want you to endlessly search for that perfect god roll. Bit of paraphrasing of course, but this is what they said. Even the “we want you to grind for that god roll” was taken out of the TWID.

I started playing this game because I enjoyed having craftable weapons, leveling them up, trying combinations that seemed cool, and completing weapon patterns. As things stand, this is no longer sustainable. 3 guaranteed red border drops from EQR each week. All other craftable weapons are attached to dungeons and raids, which I don't do because I mostly play alone. I would be more fine with this season's weapons not being craftable if I had some guarantee that, in the future, more craftable weapons would be added to the game, that I would have access to. I choose not to interact with non-craftable weapons at all, because 1) I don't want my vault clogged with all the weapons with combinations I think I might possibly use in the future, and 2) I don't want to have to deal with the research, sorting, memorizing that would go into that. I would like it if the weapons became craftable in the third act, meaning you could have the mad dash for red borders in the last act while god roll grinding before then meant you could get the god roll weapons early. Alternatively, I would like it if all previous season weapons were added as craftable weapons to EQR, but only if EQR gave a LOT more guaranteed red borders, and either rotated more frequently or carried multiple quests at a time.

6 RespuestasIt's simply "bad" design to add something and then remove it again. But that's Bungie's agenda for a long time... Bungie had two waves of layoffs, for them, less is more. In addition, there is the loss of players. I'm not surprised, they want what's left of the players in the game. They need numbers more than ever with answering now to Sony. If they (Bungie) hadn't been that arrogant, everything would be still in place. Generally, crafting was a reasonable addition.

2 RespuestasAfter heresy, the player base will be at an even lower count reaching all-time lows. So many are going to stop being that will be the conclusion to the light and dark. Mark my words Bungie won't be a studio come 2028.

I actually regret buying the season pass, but since I have I’m going to finish it out. I’m out once this last episode drops, because I have absolutely no desire to play frontiers. Nothing they said in their last video remotely interested me.
-
I skipped buying this season, did not see a point in playing or paying for any of the seasonal content. I just play a bit of pvp or some strikes here and there when i am bored of whatever else im doing.
-
2 RespuestasSo because you have to actually play the game and farm for guns you want, you aren't playing? Lmao you never would've survived playing D1.
-
"season" lol. There is no season anymore. One pretty dumb 3 min story and thats it. Than go farm one mission 500 times over n over again for no reward, what an awsome content

Editado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 11/15/2024 4:12:30 PMI’d be playing more if that were the case too. I used to go for all weapons to unlock all patterns so that I had access to the weapon in the future if needed because buffs happen, artifact mods, etc. Now I only chase the select few I want. They say that “crafting kills the chase” but I got my Liturgy roll on day two of the season so it has been nothing but an immediate dismantle since then. It goes both ways.
-
The seasonal weapons are trash. I'm not even bothering .
-
1 RespuestaI think they will make the weapons craftable in the final act as a catch up mechanic.

2 RespuestasKnowing games like Cod where coming out you’d have thought they would have made more effort to retain players

4 RespuestasCan't wait for gta 6 so I can bury this nightmare under Vice City.

3 RespuestasI would play more IF we actually got NEW content, guns and GOOD LOOKING armour (last one is by personal choice) but the pure laziness of this company re-releasing existing BS is the thing that irks me the most.

i cant complain man, i did wave 50 got a vantage point with eddy current/jolting feed back, and headseeker at the bottom collum masterworked.

4 RespuestasThe seasonal weapon should have remained craftable. They act as a good baseline so that you’re guaranteed something decent while you grind out better options. Think bitter / sweet and vs chill inhibitor. With this season having to grind seasonal, reprised, dungeon, vanguard, crucible, gambit and 2 events of weapons it’s too much and kills any enthusiasm I have. In my opinion we had a nice balance before with raid / seasonal weapons being craftable with a couple of others while everything else you had to farm for.
-
I don't think it's a big deal, but I do agree it's overall a negative change. Mostly because I have to hold onto an ideal roll of all the weapons in case I want to use them next year. Having them be craftable frees up space in the vault, which Bungie has acknowledged that there is a problem with vault space so I don't know why they'd do something that makes it worse.

3 RespuestasEditado por Guardian, Archon Of Light: 11/13/2024 5:37:08 AMI would already have all the patterns and have no more reason to play this season

7 RespuestasWhat would you even craft? All of this seasons weapons seem pretty meh...

I would play the season if I could craft potions and they would finally after months of knowing about it, fix the "Unable to gather ingredients" bug in the Tonic Brewing Guide quest (i.e., the character is permanently stuck at Step 1 of 4 with no ability to progress through this mini-quest and craft potions). Under the Top Issues Being Investigated: * Some players are unable to craft tonics on specific characters. There's nothing to investigate, just remove the darn quest from all players that have already completed it, previously!

Act 1 guns aren’t even that good. Also if you’re specifically not playing because the seasonal guns aren’t craftable jokes on you, there are bunch of other cool guns (GM’s and others) you’re missing out on. Bygones, Rake Angle, new plug one this week. Fine by me, Bungie won’t change the system, they want and we asked for a longer grind and to make guns feel more special. It is what it is, it was like this before crafting and there have always been a ton of non craftable guns. I think you’re just burned out. I do agree that a full Onslaught Salvation Legend run isnt worth much, and I’ve only gotten about 5 double perk drops of which 4 were total garbage in like 15 full legend runs. Which is ridiculous, they don’t even have a special ornament. Biggest mistake they did was not giving a special ornament like shiny drops.
