Recruit Better Leadership for PVP
Bungie needs some stronger leadership in the PVP department.
I think there have been dramatic improvements in matchmaking for Trials and Comp.
However, Bungie touted an overhaul to the special ammo economy and piloted playlists to study and prepare for changes.
They revert back to issues they tried to prevent and continue the age-old balancing sham.
What the hell happened?

Only thing that drives people to 3v3 is occasional loot. Compare to 6v6. No loot, no real incentive, but still thriving as it has been with every dry season in Destiny. People play it because it plays faster and is more fun.

4 RespuestasI think PvP is done. We’re looking at the lowest Trials weekend numbers since it returned. And that’s the first quarter of a new expansion, on a new map. There have been some poor decisions made by leadership. For example why bother testing checkmate etc only to completely wind it back to 1 green and a brick pick up? And why communicate a dialling back of ability spam…only to see the worst ability spam since Beyond Light. Cheating, both console and PC goes largely unchecked. Lag and crossplay connection remains consistent. I think the PvP crowd just got sick of being lied to and either moved on or just quit.

2 RespuestasSnipers got nerfed to the ground cause they were "oppressive to play against". Shotguns have always been meta in special weapons, and now they are the only choice. You either run a shotgun or you're dead. This is definitely "not oppressive". That removed all the players who enjoyed sniping from the game. A month or two ago bungie shared weapon usage and it's like 60-80% shotguns and the rest are the all other guns combined. Unless you intentionally want shotguns to dominate crucible and you look at these stats and you think it's normal, then you should be not in the PVP team. That kill distribution is just broken, and it's obvious. On the other hand cheaters and device users go unchecked, you can literally see how a player, who had been consistent in his low KD for seasons, doubles or triples his KD almost overnight. Totally legit. PVP is done.

I don’t think they will now tbh bro. They didn’t care then n now with all the lay offs I can’t see it being a priority.

10 RespuestasAre you insane?! Everything the bungie pvp team has done in the past 2 years has been an uncontrollable downward spiral in the game. Trials is in its worst state ever. All of the “changes” you’re talking about, like passage of persistence, have been horrible. These changes literally take away from the playlist and how the game mode was designed. It is no longer competitive and there is literally no incentive to play the game mode anymore. As far as regular game modes go, the matchmaking is atrocious. Laggy games all over the place. Balancing is horrible because the still cling to “skill” based matchmaking. (Don’t be stupid, “open skill” is just loose sbmm). It doesnt work. PC lobbies are filled with blatant cheaters using hacks. And let’s not even get started on the Comp playlist. At this point, it shouldn’t even exist. This is exactly why Bungie needs to stop listening to these sub 1kd players. Y’all don’t know a damn thing.
